Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
MIJ Hub is a non-profit organisation that provides school-readiness programmes for individuals with Special Needs aged 2- 30 years old. Currently, there are at least 110 students who are under the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) and are struggling to cover their programme fees despite them being subsidised by the school.
This April, in conjunction with Autism Awareness Month and the blessed month of Ramadhan, let’s create awareness and garner more support for the individuals with Special Needs in Singapore, especially within our Malay Muslim community.
Through the ‘Harapan Si Istimewa' campaign, MIJ Hub hopes to reflect the longing of these individuals, and even their Caregivers, to overcome their hardships and be able to experience better life journeys ahead. Supporting this cause will not only allow them to secure their education in the long run but also uplift their hopes for a better future.
Your contribution matters. Your action today can change their lives.
Introducing some of the students who will benefit from your contribution in the long run…
Hidayah has Down Syndrome. She previously has low social skills but with the help of MIJ Hub, she is now more lively towards her peers and teachers.
Syukri has epilepsy which weakens his muscles and affects his gross motor skills. With MIJ Hub, he now has more opportunities to practice and enhance his vocational skills.
Ryzqy has Cerebral Palsy and was heavily dependent on his wheelchair. With frequent movement therapies guided by his teachers at MIJ Hub, he is now able to walk short distance.
Watch this video to learn more about these three friends.
You can give also choose to zakat (on wealth) to contribute to MIJ Hub - funding education and training for our students and employees with Special Needs, and enhancing our centres’ facilities - and to the community.
Support this worthy cause with MIJ Hub.
May your good deed and your generosity be accepted and blessed abundantly.
How has MIJ Hub been assisting our Malay-Muslim community?
MIJ Hub became one of the pioneer support providers for individuals with Special Needs in the Malay-Muslim community in Singapore. This year is its 11th year serving the community
MIJ Hub has included Islamic aspects in the lessons which were specially designed for individuals with Special Needs of different learning needs. This ensures that they are constantly kept close to the faith and religion of Islam.
About MIJ Hub
MIJ Hub is a non-profit organisation that provides school readiness, student care, early intervention and enrichment programs, along with employment opportunities for individuals with special needs from 4 to 30 years old.
No parent wants his or her child to be physically or intellectually disabled, or harmed in any way. It is not an experience anyone expects to have; rather, it is a journey that is unplanned. These children with special needs did not ask to be born this way, yet they grow up different.
However different they may be, they still need to fit in with society and that's where MIJ Hub comes in to assist our Malay/Muslim Special Needs community. There is a saying; It takes a village to raise a child. This cause; It takes a community to raise a child with Special Needs.
Often working with them at MIJ Hub, we noticed that they do have special qualities that makes them all the more special. All they need is a chance to be accepted.
