For every cent means saving a precious life
In this life, it is not only illegal drugs and deadly diseases that can destroy human beings. Unconsciously, the heart too can destroy human beings in its own way.
For example, a person who is too stingy and does not try to fight his stinginess. Stinginess is a despicable trait in Islam. Being stingy does not give any benefit to us. The fact is stinginess can destroy our wealth and property.
As the Prophet s.a.w. reported that every morning there are two angels who come down to earth, one prays: "O Allah, give compensation to those who donate." The other one prayed: "O Allah, give destruction to the stingy man." (Bukhari and Muslim)
So, if we don't want to spend our wealth for the sake of Allah s.w.t. and don't want to give charity even though we have excess wealth, then we will end up owning a wealth that is not blessed by Allah s.w.t. Remember, charity is not reducing our wealth.
The Messenger s.a.w. said: "Charity does not reduce wealth." (HR. Muslim) Because surely Allah s.w.t. replace, Allah s.w.t. sure bless. That's why people who give charity are given by Allah s.w.t. many privileges, including being given a great reward on the Day of Resurrection. Where is Allah s.w.t. said: "The example of a person who spends in the way of Allah is like that of a person who plants one grain of
rice, then he grows 7 stalks, and each stalk contains 100 grains of rice. And Allah multiplies the reward of alms for whom Allah wills." (Surat al-Baqarah: 261)
Lust can also destroy humans. Because people who always follow their passions no longer care about the limits of Allah s.w.t's religion. People who make lust as their vehicle, he will no longer care whether Allah s.w.t. happy or not. Halal and haram do not matter to him, if he is satisfied with his lust.
People who are religious by following their passions, must be lost. That's why Allah s.w.t. mentions the reason a person can get lost after getting guidance, namely the result of following one's passions.
Allah SWT. said: "Read to them about the news of the person who was given and taught to him Our verses, then he escapes from Our verses. Then Satan followed him, and he went astray." (Surah Al-A'raf:175) Imagine, he got lost after getting guidance. Then Allah said: "If We willed, we would have honored him with Our Signs. But he is more inclined to the world and follows his passions..." (Surah Al-A'raf:
176)
Apparently, this is why he got lost, prioritized the life of the world and followed his passions, finally he left the verses of Allah s.w.t. So those of you who have received guidance, we who have Allah s.w.t. teach the verses of Allah s.w.t., if in our hearts we still prioritize the life of the world and follow our passions, for the sake of Allah s.w.t. the knowledge we learn will be of no use. That's why
Allah s.w.t. considers people who follow their passions are the most misguided human beings.
So as Muslims, let us remember one another. Those who remember, use w
ise words. What is remembered, open your mind to receive what is good. Insyaallah our lives will always be protected by Allah s.w.t. of our self-destructive qualities.
