For every cent means saving a precious life.

How can we make the wealth we have more blessed, is there good governance to bring blessings to the assets we have. It turns out that to bring blessings is not too complicated, only by practicing zakat, giving charity and waqf.

In making wealth a blessing, Muslims must imitate namely the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. who every day always takes the time to give charity to Muslims and even Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. also give charity to non-Muslims. In one narration it is explained that the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. also give charity to a blind Jewish beggar who hates him very much. Every day the blind man always berates him without knowing who he really is.

When someone approached him, the blind man always said, "O my brother, do not ever approach the name Muhammad. He is a liar, a magician, a madman, if you approach him you will surely be influenced by him."

Even though Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. every day always come to him and feed him food without telling him that he had hated him all this time. The blind man only knew everything after the Prophet Muhammad died. He knew everything after being told by Abu Bakr r.a.

As a Muslim, we must follow the examples of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. who always spend his wealth for the good and benefit of the people. Especially those who are abundant with wealth, do not let the slightest stinginess approach you because it will lead to the destruction of your own wealth and yourselves. All humans who have property will later be asked to account for what he has while in this world. Then people who are not responsible or misuse their wealth will be given a recompense for them. Therefore, woe to those who squander their wealth for disobedience and do not at all want to pay zakat, infaq and alms.

The more motivated you are to become a more generous person, the more wealth you will have, the more often you want to give alms, and the more people will feel the benefits provided by it. Having a lot of wealth and how to look for it in a lawful way but all of that does not guarantee that what he has is a blessing in front of Allah s.w.t.
