Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
In the name
of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You in any way, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know. Ameen.
The perfection of the Prophet s.a.w. as a lover of Allah s.w.t. is the best example for Muslims around the world to follow.
This includes in terms of his food intake which can be used as a
guide and follow because he is good at taking care of his diet.
Milk is the favorite drink of Rasulullah s.a.w. because it is rich in protein, calcium, vitamins A and B which work to build body tissue and are crucial for the formation of antibodies against disease.
Muhammad s.a.w. once forbade the companions from eating fish with milk. It is feared that he will quickly get a disease. This is
because these two types of food have different ions that when mixed together will cause an active biochemical reaction in the body and can cause the stomach and intestines to be severely damaged.
Muhammad s.a.w. also encourage Muslims to eat honey mixed with water every morning because it is able to avoid all diseases.
Rasulullah s.a.w. also forbid drinking milk with vinegar because vinegar can
inhibit the absorption of milk protein and its acidity can erode the stomach through its level of acidity over time which can cause gastritis.
Rasulullah s.a.w. do not eat fish with meat, eggs or lettuce. In the Al-Quran there is a prohibition for humans to eat land foods mixed with seafood because just like consuming milk with chicken, meat and fish, these foods have different ions that if mixed with the intestinal system in our stomach
will be damaged. So, it will invite disease and endanger health.
Usually, Rasulullah s.a.w. will eat fruits first before eating (half an hour before eating rice). This is because fruits contain high fiber, if eaten first our stomach is automatically full of fiber. So, we will not eat rice in large quantities.
In the healthy diet of the Prophet s.a.w., he would usually eat grains such as Habbatus
Sawda', barley and oats. Grain-based nutrition is indeed nutritious because it is rich in phytonutrients that can improve the body's defense system, keep the heart healthy, control diabetes and obesity and also prevent cancer. As the Prophet s.a.w said. which means:
"Al-Habbah Al-Sawda' has a cure for all diseases except death." (Hadith narrated by Bukhari-Muslim)
Prophet s.a.w. also encourage
Muslims to take honey mixed with cold water every morning. It is able to avoid all diseases. Rasulullah s.a.w. always practice drinking a lot of water by sipping slowly while holding the glass with the right hand and prohibit breathing or exhaling into the water. This is because the air that is purposely foamed in the water may contain germs and bacteria that are harmful to health.
Rasulullah s.a.w. forbid people to eat a lot and excessively
because it is best to only eat when they are hungry and stop before they are full. Prophet s.a.w. asks the person to fill 1/3 of his stomach space with water, 1/3 with food and the rest with empty space (air). Rasulullah s.a.w. also told to touch a pinch of salt before eating to ward off 70 kinds of diseases and take another pinch with the ring finger of the right hand after eating.
Therefore, taking a diet and avoiding the above prohibitions
practiced by the Prophet s.a.w. is a good rule to maintain health and it has already been proven its advantages through current scientific studies. Thus, the dietary practices exhibited by the Prophet s.a.w. should be followed and emulated by all ages for good health, survival and perfecting quality worship.
Wallahualam.

Nowadays, we know the prices of everything, but we are ignorant of its value. If everyone knew the true value and status of Muslim women in Islam, even men would want to be women.
We are the being that will rock the world. The question is, how do we do that? It is only when we are empowered will we be able to empower others. And Education is one of the most important means of empowering women. Being the first madrasah for the future generation, it is most vital for a woman to equip herself with ‘ilm, as per the
sharing of Iman Syafie' (RA): “Whosoever wants the World is via ILM, whosoever wants the Hereafter is via ILM And whomsoever wants BOTH, is via ILM”.
