In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You in any way, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know. Ameen.
Islam urges every parent seriously the aspects on child rearing or
education.
In Surah al-Tahrim, verse 6, Allah s.w.t. said which means: "O believers, protect yourselves and your families from the fire of hell."
The verse explains that parents need to focus on matters related to nurturing, guidance and the best education for children.
Of course in this regard, religious education and applying the faith must be
carried out perfectly.
Faith and guidance are not like leaving a physical inheritance, but faith is understanding and confidence in the heart of a child.
Therefore, every parent needs to ask themselves whether they have guided and educated their children with the belief of being a Muslim who obeys his religion?
Imam al-Ghazali said: "Children are a
trust for parents. If he is used to good things, the child will grow up in goodness and be used to it.
On the other hand, if he is brought up in a bad environment and treated like an animal, he suffers and perishes. The sin will also be imposed on the person who is responsible."
Therefore, the foundation of education should be given priority. This includes inculcating the faith and teaching
them about religious sharia such as prayer while building personal morals based on Islamic morals.
Their obedience and obedience in establishing the religious law becomes a benchmark for the success of a parent in carrying God's trust.
If the children are blind and lack awareness of their religious practices, it means that something is not good for our future in front of Allah
s.w.t.
Remember, we will not escape being questioned before God about the trust we fulfill in this world.
Wallahu a'lam.

Gratitude vs Entitlement
Starting 12 December 2022,
8pm - 9:30pm
Living in an era where we get what we wish even before we finish our sentence, we might, without realizing it - fall prey to entitlement.
What best way to end 2022 and embrace 2023 is by reflecting on our sense of gratitude, as well as comprehending the thin line between gratitude and entitlement.
Acknowledging the good that we already have in the foundation of all abundance. Allah says in the Quran, which means:
”If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more.” - [Ibrahim; 7]
Based on this short, yet profoundly wise verse, I am excited to explore and expound on how we can further discern between gratitude and entitlement, and exercise gratefulness on a major scale of our lives, despite the
many shortfalls.
