A Seminar Organised by Masjid Sultan in Collaboration with Perikatan Tulisan Jawi Singapura
The objective of this program is to create a discussion related to the sciences of the Quran, the history around the area of the Sultan Mosque and the role of the Mosque as a community center.
The focus will be on documentation, history of development and preservation.
Three papers will be presented in this first seminar:
- Sultan Mosque: Past, Present and Future by Brother Mohd Raman Daud
- Singapore Lithograph Al-Quran 1869 by Ust Dr Mohamed Qusairy Bin Thaha
- Early Printing of Jawi Script by Cikgu Supki Hj Sidek and Dr Mohd Hirman

The desired outcome to achieve through this program is that the participants can appreciate the role and contribution of the Sultan Mosque in order to advance the teachings of Islam in Singapore and the region.
