What's so special about Makkah? 

Makkah means to destroy or reduce. Named Makkah to the entire Haram Land of Makkah, because Makkah reduces and eliminates the sins of those who come to it or destroys those who commit injustice in Makkah or because Makkah eliminates the unjust rulers and subjugates their arrogance. 

Another thing is that the name of this city is recorded in the Qur'an and hadith and it will surely be immortalized throughout the ages of human life. 

The city of Makkah has a very special history, among which it is the history of the first house of Allah s.w.t. built for humans. The history of Hajar and Ismail's life as human beings who renewed the city of Makkah is very unique. 

Too many reward offers and doubled compared to other places. This is proven by many scriptures such as praying in the Grand Mosque is rewarded with 100,000 compared to other mosques. The same goes for the reward of circumambulation, Umrah, or even seeing the Kaabah. Therefore, pilgrims must not miss the opportunity to perform worship as best as possible and as much as possible. 

Zam Zam well where the water is one of the most blessed on earth. It has various advantages and according to the intention of the person who drinks it will be given with Allah's s.w.t. permission. This is mentioned in the hadith. The existence of places that have value compared to others such as Makam Ibrahim, Hijr Ismail, Hajar Aswad, Multazam and others. 

Makkah as the Haram Land. From Ibnu Abbas r.a., that the Prophet s.a.w. said on the day of the opening of the city of Makkah: Indeed, the State of Makkah was made by Allah s.w.t. as the Haram Land when He created the heavens and the earth. Makkah is a forbidden land with prohibition from Allah s.a.w. until the Day of Resurrection. It was not permitted to fight in Makkah to anyone before me, and it was not permitted to me except for a few times (on the opening day of the City of Mecca in the 8th year of the Hijrah). 

Makkah is the Haram Land with prohibition from Allah s.w.t. until the Day of Judgment. It is not permissible to cut down trees, it is not permissible to catch game animals (that live freely), it is not permissible to pick up dropped items except for those who want to announce it to the public and it is forbidden to mow the grass in Makkah. Al-Abbas (the Prophet's uncle) said: "Except for Izkhir (a type of plant that smells good) to make fuel for blacksmiths and to make roofs for houses. Rasulullah s.a.w. replied: "Except for Izkhir." 

Dajjal does not enter. This is based on a hadith in Sahih Bukhari, the Prophet s.a.w. said: All countries will be entered by the Dajjal except Makkah and Madinah, all entrances will be guarded by angels lined up, then Madinah will shake three times. And Allah s.w.t. will remove all infidels and hypocrites from it. 

Masjidilharam is Baitullullah al-Haram and the Qibla of Muslims. Regarding its advantages, there is no doubt based on the text of the Qur'an which means: Indeed, the first house built for humans is the House of Worship as a place of worship located in Bakkah (Makkah) which is blessed and a guide for all humans.
