Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You in any way, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know. Ameen.
The habit of doing good has been taught to us from our parents since childhood.
Good deeds are basically a form of compassion and concern for others and the environment. If this is done regularly, then you can feel a variety of good benefits for the comfort of the body, soul and mind.
But it is undeniable that from the good deeds we do, not everyone judges them as good. In fact, there are those who misjudge our
good deeds.
However, even if you get unpleasant criticism or scorn, don't let it stop you from doing good. Indeed, this is when we are being tested for our intentions in doing good, if we can go through it, God willing, we will be given the best place by Allah's side.
There are several reasons for you to continue to do good:
• The charity you do is for yourself
Indeed, every
deed will return to those who do it. Good will be rewarded with good and bad will be rewarded with evil. So don't be sad when the good done is reciprocated by the bad by others.
• The words of people behind your back can be a means to become better
Great people take advantage of good words intended for them to be better, proving themselves better than those who speak bad. Bad words are a means for reflection (evaluation) because usually those who can see mistakes in detail are enemies/people who don't like them.
• Getting closer to Allah
Good deeds will draw closer to Allah. Good morals are one of the characteristics of a pious person. Allah s.w.t. will give him a lot of kindness even without having to be asked.
