Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You in any way, and I seek Your
forgiveness for that which I do not know. Ameen.
Between Azan and Iqomah, the time when prayers are answered.
There is an authentic hadith which explains that the time between the call to prayer and Iqomah is an efficacious time for prayer.
From Anas bin Malik r.a., he said that Rasulullah s.a.w. said,
"Really praying between the call to prayer and iqomah is not rejected, so use it to pray." (HR. Ahmad).
Choosing the right time to pray is one of the causes of prayer being answered. One of these times is between the call to prayer and Iqomah.
The opportunity to get the
efficacious time to pray, the time between the call to prayer and iqomat, does this apply to people waiting for Iqomah in the mosque or for the public?
Basically, the hadith (Anas bin Malik) above does not indicate that this priority only applies to those in the mosque. The hadith above reports that this is one of the efficacious times. Whoever meets the conditions for a prayer agreement, then prays at that
time, it is hoped that his prayer will be answered. Whether he is in the mosque or outside the mosque. Thus, the prayers of women who pray at home are also answered if they pray at that time.
Therefore, why waste our time and opportunity staring aimlessly while waiting for the Iqomah when we can take benefit of this time to talk to Allah s.w.t. and ask anything from Him? Verily Allah is All Merciful.
Wallahua'lam.
