Sometimes, even a simple question needs to be address
again and again because of human's doubtful behavior. And what may seem simple to us sometimes appears difficult to others. Thus, let's not judge. Rather take this as a refresher this Ramadhan.
Question: What is the ruling for someone who accidentally eats and then remembers he is fasting?
Answer: The fasting is valid because it is sustenance from Allah. The words of the Prophet s.a.w which means "Whoever eats or drinks in a state of forgetfulness, then do not break the fast, then indeed it is sustenance given by Allah s.w.t. to him".
Question: What is the ruling for a pregnant woman or a breastfeeding woman to cancel her fast?
Answer: She should cancel the fast for two reasons:
a. Because of her own infirmity
b. Because she is taking care of her children's health
Description:
a. If you break your fast because you want to take care of your health, it is obligatory to make qada' only.
b. If you break your fast because you want to take care of your child's health and not yourself, it is obligatory to make qada' and pay fidyah of 1 cup of rice each day that you break your fast.
c. If you break your fast because you are taking care of yourself and your children, you must only do the qada'.
Question: Is it valid to fast without breaking the fast on time?
Answer: It is legal to fast but it is encouraged to speed up breaking the fast when the time comes.
Question: Is the reward of
reading the Qur'an and giving charity in the month of Ramadhan double that of other months?
Answer: The reward of reading the Quran and giving charity in the month of Ramadan is double.
Question: What is the ruling on skipping fasting due to childbirth?
Answer: The ruling is obligatory, if the woman who gives birth has postpartum blood and wajib qadha' in other months, but if the woman who gives birth does not have postpartum blood, then she should leave the fast to protect her health and wajib qadha' in other
months .
