Improving the Quality of Islamic Education via Zakat
Assalamu'alaikum wr wb
Dear Brother/Sister,
Do you know that Perdaus, as a charity and a dakwah organisation, also accept zakat on wealth contributions?
In 2023, Perdaus distributed over $125,500 in zakat
funds to various programmes in dakwah, education, and supporting the organisation in reaching its mission.
We are very grateful for the support from the community who also believes in our vision of a righteous society.

The majority of Muslim children in Singapore attend mainstream schools, while
only a portion of them are enrolled by their parents in part-time formal religious education at weekend Madrasahs.
As providers of part-time Islamic education, it is our responsibility to ensure that the quality of our Islamic education, encompassing its approach, content, and educators, resonates deeply
with our cherished students, fostering their development as contributing members of society who are confident in their Muslim identity.
Over the past few years, we have taken steps to enhance the quality of our curriculum and continuously train our educators. We remain dedicated to these efforts for the
betterment of our students, our community, and society as a whole.
Your Zakat Funds Various Efforts in Dakwah and Community
Last year, we allocated over $17,000 of zakat funds collected, towards curriculum grading and asatizah training, under the asnaf of "Fi Sabilillah".
But that's not all. Your zakat contribution powers various of our other activities and programmes that fall under a few
zakat asnafs.
They include the asnaf of the poor and needy for our annual Food Aid campaign during Ramadhan, and for assisting families from low-income background on their children's Madrasah fees.
The above chart illustrates the
various programmes in which the zakat collected were disbursed to, in our mission to nurture lives for a righteous society.
Your zakat contributions significantly aid us in realising the aspirations of our community for knowledgeable and steadfast members of the future. To sustain the progress that
Perdaus have been moving towards, your ongoing support is crucial.
