Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You in any way, and I seek Your
forgiveness for that which I do not know. Ameen.
I don't cover my aurat but I keep praying. Can I?
Between praying and also covering the aurat which is more important?
Is not covering the aurat but keeping the prayer better than covering the aurat but not praying?
Some of them claim that:
"Even though I don't wear a hijab, I really observe my prayers."
Congratulations to those who can maintain their prayer in any situation. But the question is, why do people who observe their prayer but at the same time do not cover their aurat perfectly?
"Prayer prevents from abominable and evil deeds."
In the
Al-Quran, God affirms that whoever prays, that prayer will protect him from doing what God forbids.
If he does not cover his aurat but takes care of the prayer, InshaAllah over time that prayer will be the cause for him to cover his aurat perfectly.
A sincere prayer will produce a person who is afraid to sin against Allah.
A sincere prayer will
also be a fortress for us from doing disobedience to Allah.
The real prayer will be the cause for us to open our hearts to cover the aurat perfectly.
But what if he still continues to expose his aurat and at the same time pray?
One of the possible reasons might be a lack of khusyuk (concentration), during prayer.
And the solution is that he should improve his prayer and
prove that the prayer is really an act of obedience and not just empty without content and does not give any effect to him who performs the prayer.
From a religious point of view, a person who covers his aurat but does not pray is the same as a person who prays but does not cover his aurat!
Both committed sin against God and every sin will be held accountable by God in the
afterlife.
Therefore, we as a servant of God and also a Muslim should always improve our prayers and at the same time we must obey God's other commands including covering the aurat perfectly.
"Whoever improves his prayer means he improves his life."
Together we realize that death will come suddenly. No one can guarantee that he will live the
next day.
Therefore, do not give thousands of excuses and delay to migrate towards goodness.
May God help us to change immediately and strive to be sincere in our every practice.
Wallahu'alam.
