Iqra Crash Course for Ramadhan
Pronouncing and knowing the right Arabic Letters is crucial for all muslims.
Imagine you pronounce the word Qof into Kaf in this surah Qof:33,
مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍۢ مُّنِيبٍ ٣٣
"Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a
heart turned in devotion (to Him):”
You would change the word from “heart” into “dog” and that shows how a simple mispronunciation of a letter could cause a big mistake!
Na’udzubillah min Dzalik!
O’brothers and Sisters in Islam, knowing how to solat is obligatory but at the same time, learning how to read the Quran is too.
How are you going to understand religion if you can’t read the Quran?
How are you going to sincerely feel attached to what Allah swt
has to say, in the language of the heaven, without reading from it originally?
It’s never too late to start.
It can be with our class or any other Quran literacy class, but never stop to take the FIRST STEP.
Shy?
Men and Women classes separated.
Don't want to be tested in front of others?
Your teachers will not force anyone to read and in time of the practical session, you can follow along behind the screen - without the camera or mic being on.
Feel that you're "old" and too late to read the
Quran?
1) Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with
a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter."
2) `A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (as saying):
One who is proficient in the Qur'an is associated with the noble, upright, recording angels; and he who falters in it, and finds it difficult for him, will have two rewards.
And at the same time, studying to read while reading the words of the Quran, in the
month of Ramadhan, which good deeds get multiplied???
SUBHANALLAH! You do the math while Allah swt, the more merciful and most giving, bestow you with the barakah and good deeds for this effort!
