In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You in any way, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know.
Ameen.
Rasulullah s.a.w. is the best role model in all aspects of life, even to his daily life is a noble character and way of life, full of blessings.
Allah said:
"Indeed, the Messenger of God has a good example for you (namely) for those who hope for the (mercy) of God and (the arrival of) the Day of Resurrection and he mentions God a lot" (QS. Al-Ahzab: 21).
How Rasulullah s.a.w. walked:
1. Not arrogant
Rasulullah s.a.w. walks without any form of arrogance.
As in the hadith of Aisyah r.a. when he was
asked:
"O Ummul Mu'minin, tell us how the character of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, be! Aishah replied: Aren't you reading the Qur'an? The companions answered: Yes. Aisha said: The character of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, is the Qur'an" (HR. Muslim no. 746).
2. Full of calmness, authority and humility
Allah said:
"And the servants of the Most Merciful God (are) those who walk on the earth with a humble heart" (QS. Al-Furqan: 63).
This is also a moral in walking that
is taught by the Quran. We have known that the character of Rasulullah s.a.w. is all that is taught in the Quran.
3. Fast but not in a hurry
Rasulullah s.a.w. fast in walking, not sluggish and lethargic.
From Abu Hurairah r.a. he said:
"I have never seen a more handsome person than the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace. The sun shone on his face. And I have never seen a person who was faster in walking than the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace. It is as if the earth is folded for him, even we have to be serious (if we walk with him) and he is not a careless person" (HR. At-Tirmidhi in Asy-Syamail
Al-Muhammadiyyah, no. 118)
4. Not lethargic and lazy
Rasulullah
s.a.w. walks energetically, exerting energy, not the way of the lazy or lethargic.
From Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, he said:
"The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, when he walks, he walks energetically, so it is very clear that he is neither a weak person nor a lazy person" (HR. Al-Baghawi in Syarhus Sunnah, recommended by Al-Albani in Silsilah Ash-Shahihah no . 2140).
5.
Stomping his feet
From Ali bin Abi Talib r.a. he said:
"The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, when he walks, stomps his
feet as if he is coming down from a high place" (HR. At-Tirmidhi in Ash-Syamail Al-Muhammadiyyah, no. 120, authenticated by Al-Albani in Mukhtashar Ash-Syamail).
Wallahu'alam.
