Who Obtained the Title of Hajj Mabrur?
Hari Raya Aidil Adha or also known as Hari Raya Hajj has just been celebrated by Muslims all over the world. This is also an indication that the Hajj pilgrims have also just received their title of Hajj and Hajah,
after performing their Wukuf at Arafah and other pillars of the Hajj pilgrimage.
There are two terms related to Hajj worship. Firstly, Hajj Makbul (accepted) and secondly, Hajj Mabrur. Hajj Makbul only fulfils the conditions and principles of Hajj. In fact, it can also fulfils the Sunnah in the Hajj chain of worship. That must be considered makbul in accordance to Sharia.
However, not all Hajj Makbul is successful. This is because, the success of Hajj is measured after returning from the Holy Land. How good is the impact of the Hajj on his life when he returned to his homeland. The Indications of mabrur can be seen with his social interaction. How good is his communication with his husband or wife, parents,
children, neighbours, and close relatives.
When there is a spiritual change with the people around him, they feel that this "Pak Haji" is completely different after returning from the Holy Land. This is the indicator of hajj mabrur.
But, if his hajj
which is acceptable but after returning from the Holy Land is more stingy, involved in corruption, and or does not improve his spirituality. This can be a good indicator but not bad. Meanwhile, what we want is both.
May all our Haji and Hajah come back to their homeland with a new resolution to become a better person from what they have
been before and be one of those people who benefits the Ummah insyaallah.
