In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You in any way, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know.

The History of the Children of Israel Written in the Qur'an:
The history of the Children of Israel or the
Children of Israel is often mentioned in the Holy Book of the Qur'an.
Bani Israel is a descendant of Prophet Abraham, from the line of Isaac and then Jacob. In the Qur'an, Jacob himself is referred to as Israel, so it can be interpreted that the Children of Israel are the descendants of Jacob.
In the Al-Quran it is also mentioned that the Children of Israel are the race that is superior to other races or people, as stated in the Holy Book Al-Quran surah Al-Baqarah verse 47:
Meaning: "O Children of Israel, remember My favors that I have bestowed upon you and (also remember) that I have preferred you above all
nations."
Ibnu Katsir interpreted and explained that the reason why the Children of Israel became the superior people was because of the blessings that Allah SWT gave to their ancestors.
Allah SWT also revealed the book and sent prophets to them.
The word Israel itself comes from the Hebrew language, namely 'isra' which means servant or lover, and 'il' which means God.
So it can be interpreted that Israel is God's servant (Allah SWT) or God's lover. However, it contradicts with the meaning as the Children of Israel are
among the people who are foolish and disobedient.
Allah SWT said: "And (remember) when We took a promise from the Children of Israel, "Do not worship other than Allah, and do good to parents, relatives, orphans, and the poor. good to people, perform prayer and pay zakat." But then you turned away (denied), except for a small part of you, and you (still became)
dissidents." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 83)
The verse above proves that the Children of Israel were told to believe in monotheism but deliberately rejected what Allah SWT commanded.
His story becomes a lesson for Muslims
Wallahu'alam.
