Barakah of Working
Working is not just making ends meet, but it also must be in line with the Shari'a so that the sustenance received is blessed by Allah s.w.t.
Allah said: "If the inhabitants of that land had faith and piety, We would certainly have opened for them (the door of
sustenance) which is abundant in blessings, from the heavens and the earth. But they lied (our messenger), so We punished them with punishment because of what they have done. Work on it."
(Al-A'raaf, verse 96)
Barakah is not visible to the eyes, but it can be felt, not measured by the quantity of wealth but placed on the quality of the soul. With barakah, you will find
peace and comfort. Through barakah, a little is enough to be shared and given.
Through barakah, the work done is more satisfying than the sweetness of worship. The higher the work performance, the more humble his heart. Continue the work by seeking his equal blessings.
The sustenance we get from working is also the sustenance that we will be using to give alms, spend for the needy and give
zakat. So it is very important for us to try to get a good sustenance so others could also share the barakah.
