Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, Have you ever wondered — what if your quiet, unseen prayers are building something beautiful for you in Jannah? The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever prays twelve Rak‘ahs during the day and night, a house will be built for him in Jannah.” (HR. Tirmidhi) These are the Rawatib prayers — the Sunnah that surrounds the obligatory ones: 🕊️ Two before Fajr 🌤️ Four before
Zuhr and two after 🌅 Two after Maghrib 🌙 Two after Isha They may seem small, but they protect what’s most precious — your connection with Allah. Because Rawatib isn’t only about prayer. It’s how Allah trains the heart to stay consistent, even when life feels rushed or heavy. Each quiet rak‘ah softens what the world hardens — focus, calm, presence. Start with just two before Fajr. The Prophet ﷺ said: “They are better than the world and everything in it.” (HR. Muslim) Maybe this is how Allah invites us back — not through grand changes, but small steps done with love. May Allah build for us homes in Jannah for the prayers no one saw but He did. Amin. Wallahu a‘lam. |
Have you heard about Mimbar.sg?
Back in 2007, there were no online platforms listing Islamic events in Singapore.
People found out about classes or talks through mosque notice boards, word of mouth, or sometimes the local newspapers. But as time passed, newspapers began to lose their place. People no longer waited for printed schedules — they searched online, expecting instant updates. What used to take days to publish could now be shared in seconds. That shift marked the beginning of a new era.
And that’s where IslamicEvents.sg found
its purpose — to bridge that gap and bring the Muslim community’s events into the digital world. We started small, manually listing Islamic classes and programs so people could easily find and attend them. But as the years went by, we realized something deeper: mosques and Muslim organizations were still managing everything manually — from registrations to donations to event reporting. So in 2014, we began developing something new — a system that could help these organizations go digital.
It took years of learning, building, and refining. Finally, in 2017, we launched the first pilot version of Mimbar, marking the start of a new chapter in Singapore’s Islamic digital landscape. Then, in 2020, Masjid Al-Amin came onboard as part of their mosque rebuilding fundraising project. They needed a reliable and transparent digital platform to collect donations — and Mimbar became that solution, helping them raise more than $1 million online over a two-year period. To avoid confusion with the actual
mimbar — the sacred platform where the Imam delivers Friday sermons — the mosque’s chairman called it the “E-Mimbar.”
The name stayed, symbolizing a new kind of pulpit — one that exists online, reaching hearts far beyond the mosque walls. When COVID-19 struck, this E-Mimbar became even more vital. Mosques and organizations used it to continue collecting infaq,
managing virtual classes, and staying connected with their communities during lockdowns. Today, several mosques have adopted the E-Mimbar, using it to manage fundraising campaigns, events, and infaq collections — ensuring their operations remain efficient, transparent, and ready for the digital future. We will share more about its use cases over the next few weeks.
Stay tune and find out what's happening this week below.

Since 2007, we have listed Islamic activities on our platform
for free, serving as a bridge between organizers and the Muslim community. Over the years, thousands of events from classes and talks to conferences and community gatherings have been shared through IslamicEvents.sg, connecting seekers of knowledge with opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute. Our mission has always been simple: to make Islamic knowledge accessible to all. Despite the challenges and changes through the years, we remain committed to supporting organizers, mosques, and educators who strive to uplift our ummah. As we continue this
journey, we thank every partner, volunteer, and supporter who has walked with us. May Allah SWT reward all your efforts and allow us to keep serving the community for many more years to come. |
Are you from an Islamic instituition, mosque or small business
