Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Have you ever felt unseen, like your voice didn’t matter?
1400 years ago, women in Medina felt the same.

In the gatherings of revelation, men’s names were mentioned warriors, believers, those promised Jannah.
But the women who prayed beside them, raised them, and served this Deen… were not mentioned in clear pronouns.

One day, Umm Salamah asked the Prophet ﷺ:
“Why are we women never mentioned in the Qur’an as men are?”

The answer didn’t come immediately.

But soon after, an ayah was revealed, one that changed history for every woman until the end of time:

“Surely ˹for˺ Muslim men and women, believing men and women, devout men and women truthful men and women, patient men and women, humble men and women, charitable men and women, fasting men and women, men and women who guard their chastity, and men and women who remember Allah often for ˹all of˺ them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.”
(Quran Surah Al-Ahzab: 35).

This ayah places a powerful emphasis on equality and recognition.
Men and women are mentioned side by side, equal in ten qualities:

1. Muslim
2. Believing
3. Devout
4. Truthful
5. Patient
6. Humble
7. Charitable
8. Fasting
9. Guard chastity
10. Remember Allah

These serve as timeless guidelines for life’s purpose with one divine promise:
Equal in faith. Equal in reward.

It reminds us that Allah never silences a sincere seeker.
Like Umm Salamah, let us keep learning, asking, and serving through knowledge.

With the changing of times, so too have the people at IslamicEvents.sg evolved.

Previously, we had several dedicated individuals managing various departments — from Events to Finance — each contributing to the growth of this platform in their own unique way.
 

However, as demands shifted and revenue declined over the years, our structure had to adapt. Some of our beloved team members have since moved on to pursue new paths and opportunities in life.

We sincerely thank them for their invaluable contributions throughout their time with us.

May Allah SWT reward them abundantly for their dedication, and may He continue to bless them with success and barakah in all their future endeavors.

As we are still adapting and making changes within our organisation, our responses may be slower than usual. We seek your patience and understanding during this transition period as we work towards rebuilding and strengthening our systems, teams, and processes.
 

Our commitment to serve the community remains steadfast, and in shaa Allah, with your continued support and doa, we will emerge stronger and more resilient.

Remembering the legacies of our Ulama

In the next coming weeks, we will be expecting various Hauls.
Hauls are events held to commemorate the life and passing of righteous individuals — scholars, saints, and servants of Allah who dedicated their lives to faith, knowledge, and community.
 

These gatherings are moments of remembrance (zikr), gratitude, and reflection. They remind us of the legacy left behind by those who lived with sincerity and love for Allah and His creation. Through Hauls, we not only honour their memory but also draw inspiration to strengthen our own relationship with Allah SWT.

In Singapore, Hauls such as that of Habib Noh and other notable figures are attended by many who seek blessings, knowledge, and spiritual renewal.

May these occasions rekindle in our hearts the spirit of humility, service, and compassion that these blessed souls embodied.
