Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi
wabarakatuh, Have you ever felt the weight of your own mistakes? Felt like you’ve promised yourself, “never again,” only to slip, and then the guilt settles in, heavy, like night without stars? You are not alone. Allah
introduces Himself in the Qur’an as Al-Ghaffār, the One who forgives, again and again. He says: وَإِنِّى لَغَفَّارٌۭ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًۭا ثُمَّ ٱهْتَدَىٰ “Indeed, I am truly Most Forgiving to whoever repents, believes, and does good, then persists on true guidance.” (Surah Ṭāhā, 20:82)
The word ghafara means to cover, to protect, to shield.
When Allah forgives, He doesn’t just erase your
sin, He covers it with His mercy, guards your dignity, and lets you begin again. It’s not that your sin is small, it’s that His mercy is vast. And no matter how many times you return, He never says, “Not you again.” He says, “Come back to Me.” ✨ Three reflections to hold on to: 1️⃣ Your sin doesn’t define you, your return does. 2️⃣ Allah’s forgiveness restores, not just removes. 3️⃣
Keep returning. Guilt may tire you, but Allah’s door never closes. Ya Al-Ghaffār, forgive us beyond what we deserve, and guide us to never stop returning to You. Wallahu a‘lam.
💫 May this reflection bring light to your heart, and remind you, no soul is ever too far to return.

In August, we traveled to Perlis to attend an event. During our
visit, we also took the opportunity to conduct masjid surveys across several mosques in the area. Interestingly, we discovered a common technology system being used throughout the different mosques we visited. The display systems installed in these mosques
featured synchronized visuals and a countdown timer leading up to prayer times. Each display automatically began a 10-minute countdown after the end of the Azan, and by the end of that timer, the Bilal and Imam would appear to begin the congregational prayer. This observation inspired us to develop something
similar within our own ecosystem. As more mosques begin adopting our E-Mimbar system, we believe it’s crucial to introduce value-added digital solutions that enhance their operational efficiency and engagement with the congregation.
The Opportunity: Masjid Abdul Razak @ KembanganNot long after, we received a call from Masjid Abdul Razak (Kembangan). Initially, they had approached
us to provide livestreaming services for a forum in September 2025 (which has since concluded). However, during discussions, they also asked whether we could digitize their prayer time display — an issue they had long struggled with.
The Problem:
At the time, the mosque’s prayer time display was being
updated manually by the Marcomm team. While this worked as a routine process, it often became inconsistent — especially when the responsible person was on leave or unavailable. This led to outdated or incorrect timings being displayed to the congregation. The Solution:To address this problem, we developed a software module that automates the update of prayer times.
By leveraging our existing database of prayer times (which already powers our websites), the new system now pulls and refreshes data automatically each day, ensuring that the display is always accurate and up-to-date without manual
intervention. This marks another step forward in our mission to deliver smart, integrated, and value-added solutions to mosques and Islamic organizations — seamlessly connecting their digital infrastructure through the E-Mimbar ecosystem.

Since 2007, we have listed Islamic activities on our platform
for free, serving as a bridge between organizers and the Muslim community. Over the years, thousands of events — from classes and talks to conferences and community gatherings — have been shared through IslamicEvents.sg, connecting seekers of knowledge with opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute. Our mission has always been simple: to make Islamic knowledge accessible to all. Despite the challenges and changes through the years, we remain committed to supporting organizers, mosques, and educators who strive to uplift our ummah. As we continue this
journey, we thank every partner, volunteer, and supporter who has walked with us. May Allah SWT reward all your efforts and allow us to keep serving the community for many more years to come. |
