Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi
wabarakatuh,
There’s a kind of silence that only comes after midnight —
when the city rests, but your heart stays awake.
Maybe it’s guilt.
Maybe it’s longing.
Or maybe it’s Allah calling you closer.
That moment is
Qiyam al-Lail.
Allah says:
“Stand the night in prayer, except for a little.”
(Surah
Al-Muzzammil, 73:2)
Before the Prophet ﷺ changed the world,
he first stood in the quiet of the night.
Because faith grows strongest in the unseen.
You don’t need hours of prayer.
Sometimes, just two rak‘ahs whispered before Fajr —
can realign your heart with Allah’s mercy.
In Qiyam, every tear is heard.
Every doubt is softened.
Every return is welcome.
So when the night feels heavy, remember:
it’s not loneliness.
It’s an invitation.
3 reminders for the heart:
1️⃣ Rise even if only for a short while.
2️⃣ Speak to Allah about what no one else knows.
3️⃣ Let the stillness heal you.
Find a masjid near you for
Qiyam al-Lail,
and let forgiveness find you there.
Wallahu a‘lam.
"Ya Allah, awaken our hearts in the night, and make us among those who stand when others sleep."
