Imagine standing in front of Allah thinking your prayer is accepted.. only to realise there were mistakes all along that could make it invalid.
And the scary part?
Some of these mistakes are super common. Things YOU've been doing for years without even noticing.
Sometimes YOU brush it off:
"Alah, takpe small mistake only.."
"Allah
understands.."
But prayer isn't something we can simply assume is valid. Even small overlooked mistakes in wudu', aurah, recitation, or even movements can affect the validity of YOUR prayer.
The 3 common mistakes that men don't realise they're making:
Gazing upwards during prayer
We're encouraged to keep or gaze towards the place of sujud to help maintain khusyuk and
focus in prayer. Looking around or upwards goes against the proper etiquette of prayer.
Fidgeting during prayer
Constant unnecessary movements, even small ones, can affect the quality, and in some cases, even the validity of the
prayer. Sometimes we don't realise how much we move out of habit.
Resting only the forehead during sujud
During sujud, it's not enough for only the forehead to touch the ground. The nose should also touch the ground as part of a
proper sujud.
