Assalamualaikum Wr Wb,
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Thank you for subscribing to our mailing list. InshaAllah this email finds you and your family in the best of health and imaan. May the peace and blessings of Allah SWT be upon you and your family, inshaAllah.
The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “If a man purchases a cloth with ten dirhams and if one dirham out of them is unlawful, his prayer will not be accepted till a portion of that cloth remains on his body.” [Ihya Ulum Id-Din by Imam Ghazali]
Ill-gotten money is like water from the sewerage. If you are given a glass of water to drink, of which nine out of ten parts are pure distilled water and only one tenth of which is water from the sewers, would you drink it? Don’t let ill-gotten money contaminate any of your lawfully earned money. Don’t let it stand between you and the acceptance of your prayers.
We must not underestimate the importance of earning a halal livelihood. It is not always easy to keep away from income that has some element of haram mixed in it. It becomes especially trying when one has dependents to take care of. That is why the reward is no less than Jannah for the one who is mindful of Allah’s defined boundaries and stays within them while trying to feed himself and his family.
Rasulullah (PBUH) said: “He who lived on lawful earnings, observed my Sunnah, and did not cause mischief to people will be admitted to Jannah.” The people submitted: “O Rasulullah! There is a great number of such people at the present time.” Rasulullah (PBUH) said: “Such people will exist even after me.” [Tirmidhi]

Imagine fleeing away from home and seeking refuge in another country where support is little and life is full of insecurities. Most of us wouldn't understand the plight of the Rohingyas but whenever we read about them in the news we know we can do a part to help their situation.
One of our partners Hezom International recently went down to Cox Bazaar @ Bangladesh where the Rohingya refugees are staying to distribute rations and supplies to them. While they were there, they surveyed and identified other needs besides food and shelter. They found out that the refugees need lighting, especially in the evening.
Nur Project For Rohingya
Our aim to is to provide electricity to them via solar panels. The package can light up a full tent area which caters for a family of 6-10 people.
Click here to watch the video.
Some Facts:
- At the Rohingya refugee camps, there is no grid electricity connection.
- Refugees use solar panels, candles and kerosene lamps for light at night.
Solar Panel Package
Each solar panel contains a number of photovoltaic solar cells, which are capable of converting direct sunlight into electrical power. During daylight hours, the panels on the roof collect the energy from the sun and feed it to an inverter. This even happens on cloudy days!
Each solar panel package consists of:
i) Solar panel
ii) Wirings
iii) Lightings
iv) Battery
v) Installation Service
1) How can I support this project?
- You may support this project to infaq one set of solar panel for each family.
2) How much is each solar panel package?
- Full Solar Panel Package - $315
- Shared Solar Panel Package (shared with 5 other pax) - $70
Each solar panel package will cost around $315. You may infaq more than 1 solar panel package. The prices are inclusive of administrative costs, logistics, etc.
3) How many names can we insert onto the name board?
- We allow up to 5 names. You can share 1 solar package with 5 friends/relatives/siblings/family/etc. You may also request to put "Hamba Allah"
- We have an option of only purchasing 1 part of the solar package - which will be shared with 5 people. There'll be an additional cost due to the extra administration and printing & delivery of certificates.
4) How will I know when this project has been completed?
- We estimate this will take 2 months from the time you register your infaq. If there is a large infaq volume, the process may be delayed and may take longer.
How Do I Infaq for this Project?
Payment can be made in the following ways:
i) By Cheque
ii) By Bank Transfer

** This project was temporarily closed during Ramadan.
Mission: To support mosques and muslim organisations to provide halal mutton for their events / majlis.
Throughout the year we've had multiple requests from various organisations for sponsorship of mutton, and often we have to reject them because we could only raise funds only during certain periods like Ramadan, or when we have Aqiqah Australia projects where we can bring in the mutton from Australia.
To make this effort more sustainable, and for us to be able to respond to these requests, we decided to run this project all year round.
This would also provide avenues for the community to continue supporting various events throughout the year. For Infaq Mutton ( All Year Round ), we will only raise funds for frozen mutton, as it is much easier to acquire and cheaper to purchase compared to fresh mutton.
Alhamdulillah, with your generous contributions so far we have collected is
952kg, of which:
- 30kg was donated to Masjid Wak Tanjong
- 496kg in total was donated to Masjid Darul Makmur (for their monthly hot meal distribution)
- 100kg was donated to Masjid Ar-Rabitah
- 30kg was donated to Masjid Mydin
- 100kg was donated to Masjid Maarof
- 136kg was donated to Masjid Mujahidin
- most recently 60kg was donated to Masjid Al-Taqua
Current Mutton Request:
- If you are an event organiser for a non-profit organisation and would like to request for the meat, do write in to us at info@islamicevents.sg, and we will do our best to help :)

Mission: To aid and provide poor families in Cambodia with proper housing.
While we are living in the comfort of our homes protected from the weather, others in different parts of the world may not share the same fate. Despite working day and night to support their families, they are still too poor to purchase land and build up their own houses. There are thousands of families living in poverty in Cambodia, and some of the houses are simply made of straw (as shown above). In this Wakf project, we aim to aid and provide these families with proper housing.
This project, managed by Infaq.SG, will help to purchase a small piece of land and build up the houses for these poor families. One of our staff members, who travels every 2-3 months to Cambodia to send support, will be overseeing this project.
Current Request: 10 houses
Location: 1 House @ Wilayah Koh Kong & 9 Houses @ Wilayah Sihanoukville
Completion period: 2 months + 1 month of Administration.
Wakaf Whole House - SGD $3,600
Wakaf Part of House ( Shared with 6 pax ) - SGD $630 each.
