Can we Qurban for a deceased family member?

This has been a debate by many scholars in the past and present. The vast majority of scholars permit one to offer the sacrifice on behalf of the deceased and there is ijma' that the rewards of good ac­tions such as hajj, sadaqa, recitation and salah reach the dead in their graves.

Imam lbn Taymiyyah said, 'whoever claims that the deceased do not benefit from the good actions of others has indeed breached the ljma'. He was asked regarding the validity of offering sacrifice for the deceased. He responded by saying that it is allowed to sacrifice on his behalf as it is valid to perform hajj on his [deceased] behalf.

The Prophet s.a.w himself offered Qurbani on behalf of his living and dead family members [Muslim]. In other narrations we find that he even offered Qurbani on behalf of his Ummah, the living and the dead those who testified to the Tawhid of Allah [Abi Ya'la with a good isnaad, also Ahmad, and al-Bazzar].

In another narration it is report­ed that Ali r.a would offer sacrifice on behalf of the Prophet s.a.w 
after his death, except that this is a strange [ghareeb] narration. [Tir­midhi].

In every fact finding, we will prefer that you ask your own scholar in this matter as some will disagree and have other hadith and facts to back them up.

1) Qurban for Cows in Bangladesh is almost sold out. 

As there were limited amount of Cows available to us for this area, it is almost sold out. Full Cows are no longer available. We only have 3 x Part of Cow available to complete one Cow for those who wish to take up this package.

2) Pouched not Canned. 

As for Qurban Sheep in Bangladesh, we mentioned earlier that the meat will be canned. However the final agreed package is to packed it in pouches. It is cheaper and we are able to get more quantity from this package.
