Quranic Arabic (Module 1 & 2)

Have you tried to understand what the Imams at the mosques are reading/reciting during prayers? Or when you open the Quran, do you to keep referring to the meanings? 

What if you can read and understand the Arabic text or listen to a recitation and understand it without referring to the translations? Well for sure you can memorise the Quran and memorise the translations/tafsir? Definitely the way to go. 

But what if we tell you that there is a better way to do so?

In the past and till today, scholars of Islam placed great emphasis on learning Classical Arabic. Knowing the foundation and the roots of how the language is structured will definitely help one understand what we are reading and what Allah SWT is conveying to us. 

How does this help you? 
- Every time you read the Quran, you know what Allah SWT is emphasising.
- You will start to feel closer to our Creator. Insyallah. 
- You can focus and appreciate the beautiful Quran Arabic language.
- You don't stray in Solat. Yes it helps you focus in Solat better as you will realise that you are talking to Allah SWT and 
- He is talking back to you while you read the verses. 

How is this course different from an Arabic Language course?

If you have ever attended an Arabic language course, the main focus of those courses is for you to be able to converse or write in Arabic. But just ask any Arab guy you know, they may know the language but they might not understand the Quran. 

Isn't the Quran in Arabic?
 
The words of Allah swt in the Quran happens to be in the form of words that is beautiful yet profound. The level of Arabic language is higher compared to those spoken in the streets or for everyday use. Its like we understand English but it's difficult to understand the English Shakespear use. What more the words of Allah swt in the Quran. 

About the Course:

This course is the first 2 out of 6 modules for a student to complete the full syllabus. 

The course aims to familiarise students with the basic structures of Classical Arabic and to help the students in the basic comprehension of the language of the Qur'an. Emphasis is placed on reading and writing skills.

Prior knowledge of the Arabic writing and reading is essential. The approach adopted in teaching is grammar-based and students will also be introduced to high-frequency words in the Quran.

The Essentials of Prayers

“Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds and establish prayer and give zakah will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.” [Al-Qur'an 2:277]

Prayer is a commandment upon all Muslims. It is one of the 5 Pillars of Islam and forms the basis of our Deen. It is essential for all Muslims to perform Salat 5 times a day, and beyond this requisite, there are many other prayers for us to further enhance our faith through our worship and obedience to Allah the Almighty.

This course will discuss these topics in greater detail and further enhance the beauty of your prayers to Allah The Almighty, Insha'Allah. It is suitable for those who want to learn how to perform the five obligatory Salah/Prayer, and it is also a recommended refresher course for Muslim parents and educators living in contemporary Singapore.

The Essentials of Prayers course consists of 6 lessons which cover the Theory and Practical aspects of Ablution/Wudhu' and Salah. Course Notes and a Book will be provided.

Basic Quran - Al-Quran for Beginners

This course is for For Youths, Adults & Converts ( 18 years and above ) - (Mixed Class)

It's never too late to start reading Allah swt book. We come from different paths and experiences in life. Some of us may be lucky and born in a family that practise Islam strongly while there are others like ourselves that do not have such background and we wish to know more about the deen and want to be able to read and recites the Quran.

While there are others who have learned and read the Quran but because of influences, they've stopped learning and they've got lost along the way during their youths and wish to start again from the beginning. 

There's an opportunity to start again.

A collaboration between Nadi Furqan and Islamicevents.sg, this is a course designed for Youths, Adults and Converts who wish to learn to read and recite the Quran from Zero. Starting from recognising each Basic letter, Learning to Pronounce each Letter Correctly to Mastering the Basic Letters. 

This course is the 1st module of 3 comprehensive modular programme. After which the student is encouraged to take up the Basic Tajweed Course and Advance Tajweed Course.

Students will be learning in a small group environment and evaluated individually. Limited to 15 students. This course is conducted in English.
