Ceramah ‘Islam di Singapura’

Siri Ceramah lanjutan kepada siri ‘Ceramah Dakwah Bulanan' ini akan mengetengahkan barisan 12 cendekiawan tempatan yang akan bermula dari bulan Oktober 2018 sehingga Oktober 2019.

Sesi ini bertujuan:

- memberi peluang kepada para peserta untuk lebih mengenali secara lebih dekat akan profil kehidupan dan liku-liku hidup masyarakat Islam Singapura dari dahulu hingga masa kini.

- membantu para peserta memahami kegiatan-kegiatan keIslaman di Republik ini serta perkara-perkara yang membentuk pengamalan Islam setempat (faktor dalam dan luar negeri) dan corak hubungan bukan sahaja antara kaum majoriti Melayu dan bukan Melayu tetapi juga orang Islam dan bukan Islam.

- mengetahui tahap kemajuan yang dicapai masyarakat Islam, serta beberapa cabaran dan andaian senario akan prospek yang menanti mereka di hari muka.

- mendalami kisah dan perjalanan hidup masyarakat Islam Singapura.

Muslim Grave Cleaners

Maintaining and cleaning up graves can be a tough job. Imagine visiting your love one's grave and realised that there are weeds growing and white cloth turning yellow because the last time you came to clean it up was many months ago. Let us help you perform this ardous task.

Who is Meqar?

MEQAR is a department under Mujahidin Mosque which focuses on Quran Education and training of Quran Teachers on the Qiraati methodology. They have trained more than 500 Quran teachers using the Qiraati methodology. In this collaboration, Meqar will advise Islamicevents.sg on suitable Quran Teachers that are ready to be matched.

How do we match you with the Quran Teacher?

- Location: We recognise that location plays an important role. We would not want to match a family and a teacher who lives on the other end of Singapore. We will match best by locating the Quran Teacher that is closest to you.

- Experience: Teaching children and teaching adults can be very different. Some of our Quran Teachers are well trained in handling children than adults and they prefer to teach children. Vice versa, you would want a Quran Teacher to be able to handle kids or children.

- Knowledge: You may prefer to have a more knowledgable Quran Teacher as you may only want to improve on Tajweed or embarking on Sanads. Some Quran Teachers can teach until a certain level. If you advance further, you may need to have another teacher to teach advance reading methodology.

Little Sahabah After School Program

Dear Busy Parents,

Are you looking for a center where your primary school child (7 years old to 14 years old) can be taken care of while you are busy at work after they are done with school (1.30pm to 7pm)?

Wish that your child reads the Quran daily and have someone to ensure that they perform their prayers?

Introducing the “Little Sahabah After School Program”

In this program, your child would be guided by a trained teacher with their homework and spelling tests, have daily Quran reading and memorisation sessions with a qualified Quran teacher. Furthermore they will be engaged under a program called Ghazali Project. They will also be taught and encouraged to perform the solat daily and fasts in Ramadan.

What is the Ghazali Project?

“Shaykh Hamza Yusuf explains, “The Ghazali Children's Project is nothing less than a revolution in developing humans, ethical and committed Muslim youth, who are in dire need of guidance in these troubled times. Imam al-Ghazali is the Proof of Islam, and these teachings, presented in a beautiful life-affirming way, will prove to be a major shift in the way Islam is taught to young people. As a community we owe much to Fons Vitae for bringing them to fruition. Let the transformation begin!”

The Ghazali Children's Project aims to install good habits into our children such as humility, patience, love, altruism, gentleness, forbearance, and respect for other faiths while providing children with real and effective tools to address such failings as selfishness, back-biting, arguing, laziness, envy, bragging, hypocrisy, greed, wasting time and pride.In other words, we are shaping your child's character to be a responsible Muslim. Inculcating good habits, sharing with them to be good people by learning manners, instilled responsibilities and much more.

* 1:30pm – 3:00pm: Arrival, Washing up, Lunch, Solat Zuhr.

* 3.00pm – 4.00pm: Supervised Homework

* 4.00pm – 5:00pm : Quran Reading, Revisions, Memorisation

* 5.00pm – 5.30pm: Tea Break and Solat Asr

* 5:30pm – 6.00pm: The Ghazali Project - Learning Skills (Integrated Program)

* 6.00pm – 6.30pm: Show & Tell / Group work / Story telling

* 6:30pm – 7:00pm: Games / Wind-down & Debrief.
