The Miracle of Giving
Giving does not mean you are at loss. Even our Prophet Muhammad SAW ensured to those who give, you will gain more!
"Wealth is not decreased by charity, so give in charity.." &
"Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity"
Definitely you have heard about the stories of Sahabahs how they love to give to others, especially the story of Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf, the most successful entrepreneur and one of the wealthiest person. He shared his wealth with others; where he donated some dinars each to the survivors of the Battle of Badr and freed groups of slaves.
Other than this, he also helped to look after the wives of Prophet Muhammad after his death by providing them money, financed their pilgrimages to Mecca and so on.
This are only some examples of his astounding generosity. He may be extraordinarily wealthy, however he did not let the wealth corrupt and control him. He was so generous and knew that giving away his fortune he was pleasing Allah SWT and multiplying his riches.
For some of us, we may feel reluctant sometimes to donate or give some money because we fear if we do that it will lessen our wealth and it's human nature to believe, "I'll give when I have more (extra money)."
If you come from this mentality you never have enough of anything to give.
Generosity is a choice that feels right and joyful, it comes from believing you have enough to share.
Truly giving something from the heart is an action which fill your life with joy.
The intention behind your giving is the most important thing, and it should always be to create happiness for the both giver and the receiver.
Fortunately kindness and generosity are not bounded to limitations. There are some of life's most precious gifts and they don't cost you anything. When you meet someone, you can silently send them blessing (doa'), love, laughter or just smile. Smile to a friend, colleagues or even strangers. A simple smile can do so much to someone, it radiates happiness and positive vibes and it is a good way to make someone's day.
After reading this, just try to smile to people. You will definitely feel something. Trust me just try! :)
