Last Saturday, was the last session held for our financial workshop "Happily Ever After" for married and future spouses. In the first session on the 16th of March the speaker talked about the importance of knowing yourself and your partner (characteristics, financial understanding and etc).
To be able to open up to each other, willing to learn, unlearn and relearn and most important, to be honest are the key points in achieving towards peaceful and happily ever after. It is not about who is right or who is wrong, but the chances to attain peaceful marriage life and accept each other opinions.
As for the second session, the speaker emphasizes more on the financial management tips, teach about the importance of putting aside the money as a contingency (emergency) which he advised to be kept in 3 separate envelopes ( 3 months, 6 months and 9 months). Apart from that, we need to know between our wants and needs, money to spend on self and many more.
But one thing that is really essential and crucial point is that how do we achieve barakah in life. Use and save your money wisely but not to forget to put aside for charity, donations and your obligatory zakat. Once you prioritize this, your wealth will be blessed and you will be happy. In shaa Allah.

Islamic Funeral and Death Rites Course
One thing that we must remember is that death is
inevitable, and everything except the Almighty God
of course, will perish.
Signs of death can be seen all around us.
At funerals we see people who were once walking
among us being buried in their graves. In the fall we see the
leaves turn from green to yellow and fall one at a time, and
in the winter we see trees, lifeless. In this way, all things in this world wither away and die.
Life on earth is temporary and death is a certain reality. That is the harsh truth you need to swallow. Just like all other living things, we too will wilt and die. Though death is certain, you tend to forget from time to time and busied yourselves with worldly matters. Albeit forgetfulness is part of human nature, it can make us astray from our true mission in life. When you keep remind
yourself it gives you time to reflect back in life; what have you done that will bring you to Allah's Paradise? Cleanse and purify your hearts daily.
Islamic Funeral and Death Rites course is not only about how to bathe the deceased but what's is more important is to be the one who know how to react and keep the family members calm at this point of crisis where our emotions are definitely disturbed and out of control; especially to avoid from making irrational decisions that may cause appalling scenarios to occur.
