Life on earth is temporary and death is a certain reality. That is the harsh truth you need to swallow. Though death is certain, you tend to forget from time
to time and busied yourselves with worldly matters. Albeit forgetfulness is part of human nature, it can make us astray from our true mission in life. When you keep remind yourself it gives you time to reflect back in life; what have you done that will bring you to Allah's Paradise? Cleanse and purify your hearts daily.
How our times now are so different with our parents generations. In the past it is compulsory to have someone in our community to lead and know the funeral procedures and execute it. Out of 10 in the community there must at least 1/2 must know because back then older generations lives in a clusters community where for sure there must be at least an Asatizah or an Imam know the procedures.
However, how about today? How many of us REALLY know how to handle the situation when our family or relatives face death? Ask yourself this. We are being too dependent on others (the jenazah companies and organizations) to settle our problems.
If you remember the story of Habil and Qabil and how Qabil had killed his own brother due to his jealousy and anger. Then Allah SWT has sent a crow as a guidance and inspiration to Qabil to bury his brother in the ground.
Even animals will bury and grieve on their loss animals' friends, showing respect but why we as a human being aren't showing respect to each other and let other people take in charge of it?
Slowly we can see that this knowledge is being lost and lesser and lesser people are willing to retain this knowledge. Sometimes, it is sad to see how generations now have lost the essence of learning this.
Islamic Funeral and Death Rites course is not only about how to bathe the deceased but what's is more important is to be the one who know how to react and keep the family members calm at this point of crisis where our emotions are definitely disturbed and out of control; especially to avoid from making irrational decisions that may cause appalling scenarios to occur.
Example: A wrong call can lead the deceased to have a delay for the burial. Eventually leading to many other problems. This however can be avoided IF you know the right steps.
Moreover what can we do if the deceased is transgender? What if the deceased have no family members neither anyone to claim him/her? What if the deceased passed away due to Ebola, Mers virus diseases and such?
So this is not just an ordinary like any other Jenazah Course out there. In this, we will dig deeper into such topics or taboo issues to make sure you know the DO's and DONT'S when death really occurs.
