Assalamualaikum Wr Wb,
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, we ask for your peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad SAW. Thank you for subscribing to our mailing list. In shaa Allah this email finds you and your family in the best of health and imaan. May the peace and blessings of Allah SWT be upon you and your family, in shaa Allah.
Do you realize how lucky we are to live in Singapore? To be able to practice our religion freely and openly without having to worry we will get attacked or arrested? Living in harmony in multi-racial and multi-religious country and community is something that I think most of us take granted for. Just how fortunate and blessed we as Muslims to be able to perform our prayers in the open. Especially in today's world where we are facing and experiencing a spiritual drought where we are too
indulged in materialism.
By being able to let ourselves loose and put aside this worldly matters even for awhile and present ourselves in majlis ilm/majlis selawat is actually a window for the soul; a window for the soul to be free and feed our souls with spiritual needs. How Sheikh Niwowy shared: by attending this it actually helps to rekindle your heart;
the heart that is dying of spiritual nutrition and the nur; remembrance of Allah SWT and our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW. When we make invocation and supplication to our prophet (اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّى عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍٍ، وَعَلَى آلِهِ مُحَمَّدٍ) this doesn’t give benefits to Allah neither to our prophet as Allah swt would not benefit from our deeds nor our obedience
does not increase Allah’s kingdom but this will make our dying heart back to live, pumping the air that our spiritual self badly needed.
Invocation and supplication from the creation; the slaves to Allah swt is a DUA. But invocation from the Creator to the creation is an Elevation, a Purification and Illumination.
هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ لِيُخْرِجَكُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۚ
It is He who confers blessing upon you, and His angels [ask Him to do so] that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. (To get out of darkness; the darkness of nafs; the darkness of delusion; the darkness of heedlessness; ego.)
Today we need to take an exit of the spiritual drought to the nuur of spiritual life. And how do one can obtain the light? One of it is to be grateful.
We often times forgot to be grateful or even say alhamdulillah for all the blessings and ni’mah that Allah SWT has bestowed upon us. Being ungrateful of the ni’mah (blessings) Allah has given is showing that we are lacking believe and faith in Allah.
He has given to us so much but yet we are still being ungrateful sometimes and take things for granted. We are thankful when we get our salary, we said Alhamdulillah, we are happy for the money but often times we forget to thank the One who gave us rizq (rezeki) in the first place.
Furthermore even our actions and attitudes towards other people speaks a lot.
مَنْ لاَ يَشْكُرِ النَّاسَ لاَ يَشْكُرِ اللَّهَ
(Those who are not thankful to people; to any human being regardless of who they are, for the good that they have done; you are unthankful to Allah, you are ungrateful to Him.)
And why is this? Because you are not seeing the one who blessed that human being, guided that human being in doing good; is only Allah. So when we thank the creation, it’s a symbol, a sign that you are aware that the Creator is the one who gave the creation; you are thankful of Allah SWT in the first place.
When we look at the flower, we see the beauty of the flower, we thank the flower for being beautiful but we forget the One that is so much more beautiful, the One who made the flower beautiful. He must be much more beautiful.
Exciting Events Coming Your Way!
Musollah Clean Up
11 May 2019 | Saturday
9.00 pm- 7.00 pm
Every day, thousands of Muslims including you and I utilise the numerous musollahs around Singapore. However, only but a handful of people make it their responsibility to clean these sacred places of worship we use daily.
In order to make this large-scale effort a success, we would need your help in any way that you can lend a hand.
If you can make it down, we're more than happy to have you on board. If you're not available on that day, consider contributing to our operating funds, or by donating *new and unused* items for musollahs like mini Qur'ans, telekungs and prayer mats!
Every single contribution counts to make this collective effort a reality.

Does the public really know who nurses are and what they’re capable of? Do people truly understand the profession of nursing or the men and women who carry the title -- not to mention the dizzying number of specialties they practice?
Experience and learn the challenges of nurses and caregivers face at Jamiyah Nursing Home (Darul Syifaa).
Mental health issues now have becoming a serious concern that everyone need to play a role in. Some of us may know our own
mental health; but some are clueless and in denial to actually believe in such things happening to themselves or any member in their families.
Like what we always say; Prevention is better than cure. And this is so true as it is better if we are aware of our own mental health before it gets too late and dangerous that it can affect our daily lives.
With this visit it opens up the opportunity for you to learn about the current issues faced in the mental health industry through the eyes of professionals dealing with patients and discover how technology can solve this issues.

Clearing The Dust
22 June 2019 | Saturday
2.30 pm - 5.30 pm
A seminar on understanding Riba (Interest %) & learn how to deal with it in Singapore.
RIBA, RIBA, RIBA…
We can complain about this matter day in and day out but the situation is we do not live in an Islamic Society here in Singapore.
Prophet Muhammad s.a.w during his time had warned us of this.
Narrated by Ibn Isa, and recorded in Abu-Dawood Hadith #3325
“There will come a time when you will not be able to find a single person in the world who will not be consuming riba. And if anyone claims that he is not consuming riba then surely the dust of riba will reach him.”
And that time is already here.
Look. This is Singapore. As crazy as it gets, RIBA is there and as long as the people loves to make money and benefit from it, this system will not go any where soon.
Every where you turn, the inevitable is here and nobody as a citizen can escape this and what's more scary is that even some of us Muslims end up enjoy using the RIBA to go for our holidays. Astarghfirullah.
Now is there a way to get out of this?
To find out the ways how to overcome and solve the issue, be sure to register yourself and join this workshop!
