To the heart that transgressed,
Do you realize we are just a week away from the month that is full of blessings; a month that everyone is looking forward to.
You have high hopes for this Ramadan. You want Ramadan to be different; to make you a better person in and out. You have goals that you already set and want to achieve.
The loss of a connection to Allah is the scariest thing that can happen to a person. You remember how you molded your character to be something that He loves. You remember when every cell of your body is energized and most of all you remember and feel the tranquility.
It creeps up on you sometimes- knowing that you've changed. You didn't realized, you still don't know how it happened. You're in such a different place. You don't recognize yourself anymore. You want to be in that place you were before so much your heart yearns for it. Can you even go back?
Sometimes we are harsher on ourselves than Allah SWT wants us to be. We punish ourselves by telling ourselves that we do not deserve Allah's swt mercy and that makes us give up on trying; give up to become a good and improve version of own self.
Allah's mercy is not deserved. It is given to all, and especially to those of us who are struggling - who are trying in spite of everything. Allah swt says:
قَالَ عَذَابِي أُصِيبُ بِهِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ ۖ وَرَحْمَتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ
"My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things."
So just let go. Let go of the anger you feel towards yourself. Let go of those feelings of unworthiness. Allah created you and that makes you WORTHY. So don't give up. Don's give in to that feeling that tells you to do the bare minimum. Allah swt would not create you to be a useless addition to the world. You can be something special -
something special to him - if you don't give up. If you take that step.
Why are we told when we come one step closer to Allah swt, He comes to us at a speed? It is to remind us that Allah wants us to reach our potential, to take that first step despite the fact that the first step might be the hardest.
Allah talks so much about mercy and forgiveness in the Qur'an. Why? Because He is telling you that your renewal is in your hands. He has already told you that He will forgive you if you turn back; but you need to take that step and turn back to Him; keep trying to stop the bad habits, and persist in doing god ones. That renewal is available to you at every moment of every day.
"Allah swt, will continue to stretch out His hand in the night so that the sinners of the day may repent, and continue to stretch His hand in the daytime so that the sinners of the night may repent, until the sun rises from the west." (Muslim)
The past does not matter as long as you are making a choice in the present to go back to Him. No matter how many times you do it - returning over and over - it is all counted in your favor.
Ramadan is for you, tomorrow is a new day. This life is a struggle and no one gets to the top of the mountain without scratches and scars; without wanting to turn back; without thinking they will not make it.
Do not give up just yet. Your heart is on a journey. You are the first and foremost worshiping your Creator. And He has promised you:
وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ
الْمُحْسِنِينَ
"And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good."
We pray to Allah swt to make us of those who are able to benefit from this Ramadan and reap the benefits and rewards of this blessed month. Ameen.

In order to make this large-scale effort a success, we would need your help in any way that you can lend a hand.
If you can make it down, we're more than happy to have you on board. If you're not available on that day, consider contributing to our operating funds, or by donating *new and unused* items for musollahs like mini Qur'ans, telekungs and prayer mats!

Mosque Tech Challenge 2019

Ideas form from all places, why not we nurture ideas from the the most pure and sacred place of our community, that is the Mosque.
Mosque Tech Challenge started off as a 24hr+ Hackathon Competition that aims to provide a platform to seek, implement and share the best and coolest ideas with technology towards the benefit of the community.
This year our challenge topic will focus on Health, anything from food to medicine and architecture. The participants will compete in teams of up to 4 to create an app, website or hardware device which will be a solution to a problem statement of their own definition. The teams will be judged based on relevancy, technical difficulty and innovation by invited industry professionals.

A seminar on understanding Riba (Interest %) & learn how to deal with it in Singapore.
You have noted that your income is not insufficient or little in terms of its amount and how much one would expect would cover their expenses, but for some unexplainable reason, it never seems to be enough for the needs of the home. This is a sign- not lack of wealth, but rather of a lack of divine blessings (barakah) in that wealth.
Having more barakah in one's wealth does not mean the dollar amount increases- rather, that the benefits seen from that limited amount increase, reach further and last longer.
When examining the issues of riba, we should remember that true success lies with the help of Allah alone. If we abide by what which is lawful, and avoid that which is haram, our wealth will be blessed and beneficial in this world and the hereafter. What good extra money earned through Riba if there is no blessing in it, and it is cursed- a source of misery?
