Syawal is leaving us and whats next?
The rendang, the ketupat and the Raya visitings will stop in a week from now. How time flies. It doesn't wait for no man and yet we grow older and older with time and soon it may be our turn to leave this world. Given the chance, will we see another Ramadan and Syawal? Only Allah swt knows what lies in the future and insyallah we hope that when its our turn to leave, we are more prepared for it.
The next celebration will be Eiduladha, which is about less than 2 months from now. Unlike Ramadan and Syawal where Allah swt commands us to fasts then we seeks forgiveness and celebrate in Syawal, Eiduladha reminds us of sacrifice.
Beginning with the sirah of Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Prophet Ismail to the many stories of sacrifices made by the other Prophets and the past Ulama today to spread Islam. Without their sacrifices and effort, Islam wouldn't be what it is today. We would be doing more research and stories about their sacrifices and share them as we go along these coming weeks.
