A Quality INFAQ
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. All praises is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds - The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of Recompose. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path - the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked (Your) anger
or of those who are astray. Ameen.
Have you tried doing a quality check on your Infaq? Often, we are too occupied doing good deeds to others that we forgot our own family members. Always check on your family first. You are their pillar of strength. You are the mean to the source of light in their life. Usually, the one in need is the one who will not open up their problems to others until asked. Thus,
check on them.
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger s.a.w as saying: “Of the dinar you spend as a contribution in Allah’s path, or to set free a slave, or as a sadaqa given to a needy, or to support your family, the one yielding the greatest reward is that which you spent on your family.”
Maimuna bint Harith reported that she set free a slave-girl during the life time of the Messenger of Allah (Sall Allah-o-alaihe wa sallam) and she made a mention of that to the Messenger of Allah (Sall Allah-o-alaihe wa sallam) and he said: Had you given her to your maternal uncles, you would have got a greater reward.
In doing good deeds, always remember IKHLAS or sincere. Do not be calculative. Do not be arrogant. Because with sincerity, it helps to build trust. People who are perceived as being sincere in their manner and words generally have an easier time getting others to believe in them and to trust them with their problems. Sometimes what they need is not your money but your
presence and ear to listen to them.
Asma’, daughter of Abu Bakr r.a., reported: The Messenger of Allah s.a.w. said to me: “Spend, and do not calculate or otherwise Allah would also calculate in your case.”
Abu Huraira reported that the Apostle of Allah s.a.w. had said: Seven are (the persons) whom Allah would give protection with His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but that of Him (i.e. on the Day of Judgement) and they are: a just ruler; a youth who grew up with the worship of Allah; a person whose heart is attached to the mosques; two persons who love and
meet each other for the sake of Allah and depart from each other for the sake of Allah; a man whom a beautiful woman of high rank seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer and) says: “I fear Allah”; a person who gives charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the right hand does not know what the left has given, and a person who remembered Allah in privacy and his eyes shed tears.
