Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. All praises is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds - The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of Recompose. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path - the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked (Your) anger or of those
who are astray. Ameen.
Pandemic Covid-19 has yet to come to an end. People across the globe are slowly adapting to what they call the "New Normal". Singapore just ended its circuit breaker period and slowly exposing the Singaporean to the "New Normal" phase by phase. May Allah s.w.t. ease our affair during this period. Ameen.
When discussing about Pandemic Covid-19, we cannot avoid from discussing how financially effected are all of us. Nevertheless, to still be able to eat 3 meals a day, having the continuous electricity and water supply, to still secure a job and most importantly to be negative from Covid-19, we should educate ourself to stop complaining and stop comparing.
Everyday we receive news of families losing their love ones due to Covid-19, news of sole bread winners tested positive with Covid-19 and etc. In this situation, it is best if our Wakaf and Infaq can be channeled and be of a good use to these families.
There are many ways that our Wakaf and Infaq can be channeled to these families and among them are:
1. Adopt one child's school fee - Infaq
2. Providing family with 1 meal per day - Infaq
3. Hand down usable school books - Wakaf
4. One time home maintenance - Wakaf
5. Pandemic Covid-19 neccessities supply - Wakaf / Infaq
6. Health supply - Wakaf
7. School supply
8. House supply
9. Etc.
You can also creatively come up with ideas to channel your Wakaf and Infaq apart from those mentioned. Whatever we do, plant the intention that it is for gaining Allah's s.w.t. blessing. For without HIS blessing, our intention will be nothing. May Allah s.w.t. ease all of our affairs.
