Guide us to the straight path - the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked (Your) anger or of those who

Although Ramadhan has ended, our good deeds have not. Doing good deed is a continuous act that will only stop when our time is up in this world. While we still have the time to carry out good deeds in this stop over of ours, let's use this opportunity wisely. Thus, one way you can use this time wisely is by doing some work of Infaq and Waqaf for the sake of Allah s.w.t. and for the benefit of the religion.
But up to date, many people is still confuse or mix up of the concept of Infaq and Waqaf. So, what are the differences between Infaq and Waqaf?
Infaq according to syariah terms means to spend wealth for a certain purpose as guided by Islam. Infaq shall include expiation, donation to the family or some foundation, and so on. Infaq is strongly encouraged, but not an obligation.
While Waqaf can be a way to a welfare equality and poverty alleviation in the country if managed properly. From its religious function, Waqaf will stream its merits as long as the belongings or the properties are used by the people. Islamic scholars told that Waqaf is strongly advised.
Nevertheless, be it Infaq or Waqaf, both will lead us in getting the mercy of Allah s.w.t. in this world and hereafter if being done sincerely and purely for the sake of Allah s.w.t. and to purify the wealth.
Alhamdulillah in Singapore, there are many trustable Islamic non-governmental organizations who can help assist us to manage out intention of carrying Infaq and Waqaf. While the help is there, let's use it.
