Remember that spark that you used to have? Is it still strong like the first time? Or, is it fading away?
“Maybe I’m just bored” is what we tell ourselves when we sense something is not right in our relationship, and that statement is often accompanied by confusion, sadness, hopelessness, and other negative emotions.
Sometimes it happens after many years later, but sometimes, everything just feels different even though it only seemed like you've had your marriage vow the other day.
Boredom or lack of excitement in a relationship is a normal thing to go through. Just as we get bored with many things in life after doing them repetitively, we feel the same way in any relationship as well.
The Act Of Zikr (Remembrance and how it can help improve marriages)
Our Prophet Muhammad saw once told his companions to renew their faith towards Allah swt by saying "Laa Ilaaha Ilallah"
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Renew your faith.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, how can we renew our faith?” The Prophet said, “Say often there is no God but Allah.”

This shows that we need to always remind ourselves of our relationship with Allah through the act of zikr (remembrance).
The same concept applies in our marriage as well. To renew our relationship with our spouse requires effort and reminding yourself of the good memories or even to create new memories with your loved ones.
Why not take this opportunity to explore ways you can renew your vows, your love, your passion, and your intention for each other - to feel that excitement like you're falling in love again just like the first time..?
