It is amazing and fascinating to see how Singapore, a secular government, is govern has similarities to those of Constitution of Medina.
For example in terms of economy, in Singapore, the practices of fraud, oppression and corruption are not allowed. Philanthropic acts such as the practice of charity and volunteering works are encouraged by the existence of freedom to establish varieties of NGOs.
In terms of social, Singapore stresses on establishing a united, secure, peaceful and harmonious society. The spirit of unity and willingness to sacrifice for the sake of the country is nurtured through the National Service. The same rights are given to all races residing in Singapore. Oppression towards other races is not allowed. And all of these are being practiced in Constitution of Medina too.
In terms of governing, Singapore and the Constitution of Medina established a legal system that could be followed by all communities. National defence is the responsibility of all citizens and that is why Singapore implements the National Service while the Constitution of Medina encourages for Jihad.
With this in place, we witness Singapore becoming a strong country and respected by other countries.
And that the same time, the Constitution of Medina also proves that it can be practiced in non-Muslim countries and societies that are made up of many races and religions.
