Matters of the Hearts tends to be a complicated issue because people are just complex! Especially in the area of Love. People get dissapointed, ditched, fall into depression and more just because of this when what they expected didn't come to reality. How fragile this heart is? So from time to time we need to fix it and repair it by coming back to Allah swt. How?

We have another international speaker this week - Majed Mahmoud from Canada.

Profile

Majed Mahmoud was born in Saudi Arabia where he studied the basics of tawheed, fiqh, tafsir, hadith & tajweed for 9 years which was part of the Saudi school curriculum. He immigrated to Canada during high school. He then graduated from the University of Windsor with a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Afterwards, Majed graduated from Wayne State University with a master degree in Business Administration.

During this period he took over 40 courses with Al-Maghrib Institute & a few courses of tajweed & tafsir with Al-Bayyinah Institute. He currently works as a Mechanical Engineer and conducts Islamic lectures locally and internationally.

Recently, Majed completed a program with Huda TV on Allah’s beautiful names which will be aired in Ramadan 2013, in shaa Allah. If the bio seemed interesting to you then please remember to say ma shaa Allah :)

Their love was an abode of tranquility. This blessed love provides tranquilly and serenity as one strives towards achieving the Divine love of Allah s.w.t. For this reason, companionship is highly encouraged in Islam. The search for finding the rightful companion for a blissful marriage is a spiritual quest. 

This talk will specially address the concept of soulmate from the viewpoints of Islam. The invited speakers will elaborate on the importance of marriage institution. Questions like why marriage is regarded, as ‘the half of faith' and ‘why is marriage a spiritual quest' will be discussed. The talk will also extrapolate learning points from the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w's love story. Finally, this talk will also deliberate on the desired qualities of a spouse from the Quran and Sunnah and discuss possible challenges in the quest for the other half.
