"Of Love and Life" is a seminar series which dwells primarily on love in both Islamic and Western perspectives.
The first installment of this seminar will look into two interesting topics: Language of Love by Ms. Siti Hamidah Bahashwan, and Rules of Love by Ustaz Saifurrahman.
Profile of Speakers:
Ms. Hamidah attained her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Sociology from NUS, and her Masters in Psychology from University of Surrey, UK. She is a known motivational speaker in topics related to the family institution, young couples, youth and even children. Her work has empowered people from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, USA, Australia.
Ustaz Saif-ur-Rahman obtained his LLB (Honours) from the National University of Singapore, and is an International Fulbright Scholar of Law and Religious Studies. While in the United States, he taught Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as undergraduate core modules and was the head academic for Christian Traditions at the Faculty of Religious Studies. At the Masters level, he taught “Introduction to Syariah Law” at the Faculty of Law. Previously in Singapore,
Ustaz Saif-ur-Rahman was the Court Manager of the Syariah Court of Singapore, was an Executive Imam of a local mosque, a managing partner and practicing lawyer of a law firm. He is also the Registrar of Conversion in Singapore.
