AMP’s Ready for School Fund (RFS)

Education plays a continuous role in all spheres of life. A good education creates a multitude of opportunities and is key to breaking down barriers to success.

The Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) believes in creating opportunities for students to realise his or her aspirations through continuous education. The Ready for School Fund was established in October 2002 to ensure that no child lags behind in his or her education due to financial setbacks faced by the family.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, AMP collaborates with MediaCorp Radio RIA 89.7FM to run a telepoll campaign for the Fund, which featured some of its beneficiaries who shared their adversities and how the Fund had assisted in their pursuit of higher education.

This year, AMP focuses on fostering life-long learning by extending the AMP Education Bursary under the Fund, to not only tertiary students but also working adults who are pursuing their degree studies for the first time. It is hoped that this will fulfil AMP’s vision of increasing the pool of graduates within the Malay/Muslim community in Singapore.
