All praises be to Allah swt, Lord of the Universe. Peace & Blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad (S), his family, his companions, to the teachers that are present and that have passed on.

Assalaamualaikum ,

Alhamdulillah. Today marks the 27th of Ramadhan 1435H. We hope everything is going well so far for you. If not, our doas for you so that Allah swt will ease your burden. Today's article is written by the Chief Khadam - Fadzuli.

Gaza, Gaza, Oh Gaza. It is what we have been hearing in the news almost everyday lately. We are just a few days from Eid and yet we hear of our brothers and sisters and their children suffering from the Zionist oppressers. How will this Eid be if you are in their shoes? Honestly whatever we can see on TV is still. unimaginable in real life. Buildings being torn down, people being bombed, lives vanished in an instant and some are left with no limbs. Astargfirullah. Even when UN intervenes, the oppressors continue to bomb and injure civilians. Even today, we have news that a UN official was killed by the bomb shells.

Is there anyway else that we can stop this oppression?

2 weeks ago when we wrote about this we only had a few action plan, to pray for them and to find channels to donate to them. As the weeks goes on the call for BoyCott has been stronger for "brands", "products" & services belonging to the Israels.

Let's hope through this small actions, others too will follow suit. If the world cannot stop these oppressers through the use of words and advice, we can stop them through other ways. Let's put our brain togethers. Suggestions are welcome.

Let's keep praying for our Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza. May Allah swt protect them.

What's happening in Singapore..

The rewards in Ramadhan is 10 to 700 times as we know it from this famous hadith.

Abu Huraira related that the Prophet said: Allah the Majestic and Exalted said: "Every deed of man will receive ten to 700 times reward, except Siyam (fasting), for it is for Me and I shall reward it (as I like). There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts: one when he breaks the fast and the other when he will meet his Lord" (Muslim).

The Talented Grandson

In a small village in Morocco, people used to gather around the sweet pleasant voice of their beloved Sheikh Abdessala El-Faqih. As soon as he start to read the Qur'an, tears fall from listeners who are touched by his sweet voice.

No one from those who heard the voice of Sheikh Abdessalam though that anyone could inherit such unique talent after him.

Until the family of sheikh Abdessalam was honoured with the birth of Abdelssalam Alhassani, the grandson of Sheikh ABdelsalam.

It was clear from the first minute of Abdessalam Alhassani's birth that he inherited a lot more than his grandfather's name; he inherited his talents and good traits. Mashallah.

The Beginning

Abdessalam Alhassani was born in Morocco. His parentage goes back to El-Hassan Ibn Ali; Prophet Muhammad SAW's grandson. From an early age, he was known for his log to singing sophisticated meaningful songs away from light songs which were popular trend among youths his age at that time.

His Performances

Abdessalam Alhassani performed in a lot of artistic and cultural festival both locally and internationally. He gained audiences' admiration and praise. His unique talent excelled in capturing people's hearts from the first minute.

In his early career days, Abdessalam Alhassani tried singing various styles of songs until one day he was had to travel to Cairo to represent his country in the International Festival for songs. One of his songs which tells a story of a mother gained attention of both the audience and the judges. Since that day, he converted to singing Spiritual songs. Instead of singing to seek fame and glory, he now sings for the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

PPIS Fundraising.

This month we are committed to help PPIS create awareness for their fundraising program.

Help Us Help Them

For more than 60 years, PPIS has been committed to serving the needs of more than 18,000 socially disadvantaged families annually by focusing on quality programmes and services for the needy especially to single mothers and reconstituted families. For our Ramadan project, we will be disbursing food vouchers and cookies to lend a helping hand to deprived families while bringing a little cheer to the less fortunate this blessed month. The uniqueness of this project is that we empower our beneficiaries by having the cookies in the hampers, prepared by the beneficiaries themselves.

PPIS, a voluntary welfare organization with Approved Institutions of a Public Character (IPC) status, runs 14 centres islandwide, which include six childcare centres, two student care centres, two family service centres, the As-Salaam Family Support Centre for single mothers, Vista Sakinah, a centre for strengthening, rebuilding and fostering resilience and tranquility in families and Inspirasi PPIS for young couples. Our beneficiaries are from the less privileged families in society and we are appealing for your support to fulfill their dreams and help them move out of the poverty cycle through education for the children and skills upgrading and support for single mothers.

Here is an example of how we helped single mothers to cope with their day to day lives.
