We hope you are in the best of health and iman. Alhamdulillah, the flood situation in eastern Peninsula of Malaysia is getting better. Similarly like the events in Japan and Aceh, it leaves many people homeless. It is really a great pleasure to see organisations taking up the initiatives to rally and gather people to get equipments, necessities like food, blankets for the affected families. Let's continue to make doa for them. May Allah swt ease their journeys.

Two Sundays ago, we received a call by Ustaz Bahrul Ulum that this Ustaz was coming to Singapore and he was giving talks at Madrasah Irsyad and Masjid Kg Alkaff (@ Bedok Reservoir). Ustaz Bahrul suggested to slot him in last week however it was already scheduled for Ustazah Su'aidah. Hence it couldn't be live, we could only record it after Ustazah Su'aidah's session. And we did record this 33 mins video.

This video will be broadcasted tonight @ www.islamicevents.tv at 8.30pm. There will not be any questions and answer session this round as its pre-recorded.

ISLAMIC FUNERAL & DEATH RITES COURSE

Death is certain. It will happen to us and it will also happen to our family members.

This course is to equip you with current knowledge and practises for such an event when it occurs. It is even more important for the men (leaders of the family) to learn this so that when death happens in the family, he/she would know how to react.

Example.

Why does the deceased needs to be put to coroner's case and leave it overnight when he/she passed away in hospital?

Many whom have not went through this process will end up being angry with the hospital staff and the police and begin scolding them and so on.

One of the misconception people have when death happen in the family, they want to settle it immediately ignoring protocols, laws and procedures. The reality is not so simple. Some deaths will take days to settle. In Islam is not about "immediately". It's about settling it "as soon as possible". It is important that you know the difference.

So its important to take care of our manners while processes like coroners case (if ever happens), embalming (if arwah passed away overseas and send back here) and other kinds of cases emerge. It's really a test of patience.

So what is embalming?
Who bathes the transgender. The men or the ladies?

So much to learn and so much to know..

Hence this course is not just about bathing and wrapping the dead. There's more to it.
