As promised last Monday, we would update you on the Live Streaming Session for tomorrows event organised by MIRROR.

LIVE STREAM from Life Long Learning Institute.

As the following event is fully booked, the organisers have requested for this Live Stream.

Log on to www.islamicevents.tv on Saturday, 10th January 2014 (Tomorrow ) from 10am to 6pm to view this session.

We have tested out the internet connection. Despite the free WIFI provided at the venue, the IPs for our Live Streaming software are blocked. Hence we have to use 4G to stream it out. (Apologies for being technical). So hopefully 4G connection does not break down.

This event will be recorded and selected segments will be shown on ILM Live for the Mondays we are not able to go LIVE as our current office and studio is still under renovations.

ISLAMIC FUNERAL & DEATH RITES COURSE

Death is certain. It will happen to us and it will also happen to our family members.

This course is to equip you with current knowledge and practises for such an event when it occurs. It is even more important for the men (leaders of the family) to learn this so that when death happens in the family, he/she would know how to react.

Example.

Why does the deceased needs to be put to coroner's case and leave it overnight when he/she passed away in hospital?

Many whom have not went through this process will end up being angry with the hospital staff and the police and begin scolding them and so on.

One of the misconception people have when death happen in the family, they want to settle it immediately ignoring protocols, laws and procedures. The reality is not so simple. Some deaths will take days to settle. In Islam is not about "immediately". It's about settling it "as soon as possible". It is important that you know the difference.

So its important to take care of our manners while processes like coroners case (if ever happens), embalming (if arwah passed away overseas and send back here) and other kinds of cases emerge. It's really a test of patience.

So what is embalming?
Who bathes the transgender. The men or the ladies?

So much to learn and so much to know..

Hence this course is not just about bathing and wrapping the dead. There's more to it.
