The strive to break out of the cycle of underdevelopment for families in need can be a long and arduous process. There is no substitute for a stable, happy family — but a helping hand can go a long way to support these disadvantaged families within our community. Let’s play our part in shining the light of hope to the lives of such families under AMP’s Adopt a Family & Youth Scheme (AFYS) in their bid to achieve self-reliance. AFYS assists these families to regain their independence and self-reliance by equipping them with skills, helping their children through a variety of socio-educational schemes, programmes and activities, and most importantly, AFYS helps to strengthen their family unit. Tune in to our final 2-hour special segment on WARNA 94.2FM tonight (13 February 2015) from 8.00pm to 10.00pm, where DJs Dyn and Shaik will be speaking to a family under AMP’s Adopt a Family & Youth Scheme (AFYS). Listen to how the family is overcoming their struggles when their mother passed on after a serious illness, leaving them in a difficult financial position to sustain their livelihood.
