All praises be to Allah swt, Lord of the Universe. Peace & Blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad (S), his family, his companions, to the teachers that are present and that have passed on.

Assalaamualaikum ,

Hope you are blessed with the best of health and iman.

We would like to remind everyone to becareful of what you share on Facebook / Whatsapp and whatever communication device. One of the major sins is fitnah. Fitnah can have devastating effects on human lives as it spreads like wildfire which can cause panic and systems to crash. So be very careful of what you share and post.

So what to do if you receive news?

Before you share it around. Think many times and counter check with people who you know.

We have a few things to announce.

1) Club Heal - Awareness Campaign for Mental illness

Every Friday night in April, we will be streaming Live from Islamicevents Studio to telecast a program under Club Heal. Club Heal focus is to help mentally ill patients that have illnesses like psychophrenia due to stress and so on. So look out for the posters from Tuesday onwards.

2) Musollah Clean Up 1436 / 2015

We have formed up the team and publicity on this activity will be announced 2 weeks from now. Insyallah.

Make Peace

In our daily lives, we face family members with conflicting personalities, colleagues with different working styles, and friends with whom we may have a clash in mindsets. Ustaz Bilal Ismail will guide us through on ways we can address conflicts and deal with disputes within and outside our homes based on the Quran and Sunnah.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identifying a conflict before it becomes a heated dispute.
2. Communicating a disagreement with tact according to the Islamic etiquette.
3. To “agree to disagree”, or to embrace the difference - how do we act?
4. Find out whether there is a one-size-fits-all approach to deal with disputes within the home, and outside at the workplace or amongst friends and relatives.
5. When have we crossed the line?

Ustaz Bilal Ismail is the Academic Head of the Students Guild in Alkauthar Institute. He memorized the Qurʾan while studying at school and completed his Diploma in Arabic followed by a BA in Islamic Law from the faculty of Sharīʿah in the Islamic University of Madinah. He had been teaching Fiqh and Tafsīr weekly classes in Durban since 2007.

Trade as mentioned is through lawful selling and buying and many more Halal instruments. We are still way off in terms of knowledge in these areas. However it has been proven since the times of our Prophet saw that staying within the right path have provided many success for the Ummah.

Through this annual seminar, we may not be able to solve the problems like RIBA immediately but it is important that we keep learning and acquiring more information on how we avoid traps and discover new businesses and investments that provides positive returns.

Hajj-E-Badal 2015 is opened

What if all the money have already been distributed but they miss the Hajj Badal portion?

According to MUIS website.http://www.muis.gov.sg/cms/oomweb/oom_faq.aspx?id=14592

When one passes away, the following order is required to the fortune left by the deceased. According to priority.

1) Settle funeral and burial matters.

2) Resolve charges or property borrowed from others.

3) Settle all oustanding debts to human beings and debts to Allah swt - Zakat, Hajj E Badal (if one have not performed Hajj), Fidya (If one was not able to fast during Ramadhan).

4) Settle items mention in deceased Will ( only 30% of wealth left after 1,2 & 3 )

5) The remaining amount is then Faraidh. Distributed to family members.

Do share with your family members and educate them in this matter.

Hajj Badal is third in priority even before being willed and distributed to family (Faraidh), so what happens if the money has been distributed out and already used?

It's best that the family members come together and discuss this matter and pool the money back to pay this debt.

Hence to repeat again, the amount that was left after paying all the expenses in 1 & 2 needs to be sufficient.
