Happy National Day

Happy Holidays

Assalammualaikum wr wb,

Dear ,

We hope you are in the best of health and iman. May Allah swt continue to shower His blessings to you and your family.

We are reminded today that despite the challenges our forefathers have gone through, the country have progressed very well in just a short 51 years since its independence. We may think that our contributions to the country is small yet every role is important. From the cleaners to the high level executives, diplomats, entrepreneurs, asatizahs and more. All of us have a role to play. We help to shape and mould the country in one way or another.

So let's continue to do our best and be the best Muslims that we can insyallah.

Yes. We know that some of you may complain about the tudung issues and not able to get jobs that you would like because of your dressings etc. This year also we were informed about some people wanted to have jobs that allows them to pray. Its a common problem we hear almost every year.

If you are in this group, we asked you to be patient. Being a minority race or group our employers tend to be non Muslims hence may not have the knowledge or understanding on why we need to pray 5 times a day or to take time off for Friday prayers. Yes its difficult. But let's not complain. Be the best employee that you can be and show great attitude and morals. Insyallah your bosses will be more understanding in time. For those in entrepreneurship like us. Continue to grow so that you can hire more of our people. Don't just do business for our own pockets, but grow so that more of our community can benefit too.

We are reminded that change takes time, sometimes it may not happen in our lifetime. It took many years during the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW for the Ummah then to stop drinking alcohol and then Allah sent down the Surah to banned Muslims to stop drinking alcohol totally. It took thousands and hundreds of years to see Islam spread all over the Globe. It did not happen overnight. Change takes time and it is with Allah's will but there must be conscious efforts to share with our Non Muslim friends about our beliefs.

It starts with our young children too. Mould them into great Muslims, give them the right Islamic knowledge from the right sources. From there they can influence and change the future. Let's groom them to be great khalifahs and be the best that they can be in the various fields.

Till then and thank you for reading,

Happy National Day
