Alhamdulillah, we at Infaq.SG managed to collect $9193 for the Compassion 8888 - A Community Celebration infaq project that took place on 11 February 2017. We would like to express our deepest appreciation, and we would also like to thank you for your kind contributions that helped make the project a success.



This Saturday and Sunday, we have our Islamic Funeral and Death Rites Course. Death is a very painful and emotional time, yet one that may be filled with hope and mercy. Muslims believe that death is a departure from the life of this world, but not the end of a person's existence. Rather, eternal life is to come, and we pray for Allah's mercy to be with the departed, in hopes that they may find peace and happiness in the next to come.

This is a 2-day course, consisting of all the necessary theories and also practical lessons. Topics that will be covered:

Theory

1) Steps to take when death in the family happens. 
2) Calling the Police or Doctor First?
3) Death by Accident. How to react?
4) Death overseas. What is required or not required. Bury overseas or bring back to Singapore?
5) Malay Customs: The kain pelekat. Is it necessary? This will be discussed in detail.

Practical

1) Bathing the deceased
2) Wrapping them up.
3) Doa's to recite
4) Talqin. Is this compulsory? 

This course will be conducted by Akhi Amir, the funeral director from Pengurusan Jenazah Nur. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the course. Register here! We have limited seats left.
  Coming up in April, we have organised a workshop specially designed for married couples: Figuring Out My Husband, Figuring Out My Wife. Led by the dynamic husband-and-wife team, Mohd Khair B Mohd Noor and Suriati Abdullah from SuChi Success, this workshop focuses on the challenges that married couples go through, how to better understand each other, ways to avoid conflict with your better half, and also learn the different ways spouses can communicate better and build a happier relationship with each other.

  Up next on April 15^th, we have the Love & Pray Conference. Bringing together speakers from all parts of the world to teach and discuss how we can overcome our challenges with positivism and holding on to our faith. It is imminent that in everyone's life, we will face challenges and difficulties. We often struggle in finding ways to deal with it. Love and Pray is a platform where we help to provide analysis, understanding the right concept and applying it in the best way possible. Love and Pray are powerful tools to help anyone going through trials and tribulations in life that could cause sadness, depression and losing hope. 
 

This conference will touch on several topics about love that is: love for the world, love for human beings, love of God and love of nature and environment. Speakers will be covering this topics and angle them in a way to assist deep thought, reflection, contemplation and most importantly to take positive action moving forward.
