A Ray of Light in the Darkness
The sudden passing of her husband during a football game just before Ramadan last year was a turning point in Mdm Jun’s (not her real name) life. Overnight, she found herself having to raise and support their three children single-handedly without a job, having been a homemaker throughout her married life. After six months of grieving, she is now ready to upgrade her skills so that her family can eventually achieve
financial stability.
This is just some of what our clients under AMP’s Adopt a Family & Youth Scheme (AFYS) have gone through. While their stories may differ, their perseverance and determination to push through their adversities and to come out stronger is common to all of them.

Mdm Jun, who is a beneficiary of AMP's Adopt a Family & Youth Scheme (AFYS). She will share how she coped with the sudden loss while learning to empower herself financially and staying strong for her children.
AFYS assists these families to regain their independence and self-reliance by equipping them with skills, helping their children through a variety of socio-educational schemes, programmes and activities. Most of all, AFYS helps to strengthen their family unit.
