A Ray of Light in the Darkness
Mdm Diyana (not her real name) and her two children found themselves without a place to stay after they were asked to leave her in-laws’ home, where they had been staying, when her former husband was arrested. That night, they took shelter at a bus stop and went to her workplace in order to wash themselves up the next morning.
When her children’s one-month absence from school was alerted to the authorities, AMP’s Adopt a Family & Youth Scheme (AFYS) stepped in to provide her family financial and socio-educational assistance. Through various forms of assistance, Mdm Diyana has secured a new employment which allows her to care for her children’s needs.
This is just some of what our clients under AMP’s Adopt a Family & Youth Scheme (AFYS) have gone through. While their stories may differ, their perseverance and determination to push through their adversities and to come out stronger is common to all of them.

Mdm Diyana, who is a beneficiary of AMP's Adopt a Family & Youth Scheme (AFYS). She will share with listeners of WARNA 94.2FM the struggles she faced in meeting her family’s needs.
AFYS assists these families to regain their independence and self-reliance by equipping them with skills, helping their children through a variety of socio-educational schemes, programmes and activities, and most of all, AFYS helps to strengthen their family unit.
