What is Lailatul-Qadr? The blessed Lailatul-Qadr can be found in any of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, which are the most blessed nights of the year. It falls on odd nights in the last 10 days of Ramadan, which can be the night (evening) of 21, 23, 25, 27, or 29 of Ramadan.
Allah SWT says in the Qur’an: “Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” [Quran 97:1-5]
Aisha (RA) reported: "When the last 10 nights of Ramadan would begin, Rasulullah (PBUH) would keep awake at night (for prayer and devotion), awaken his family and prepare himself to be more diligent in worship." [Bukhari and Muslim]
Abu Hurayrah (RA) relates that the Prophet said: “Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” [Sunan an-Nasa'i]
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Whatever good deeds you do on this night, it’s like you did it for 1000 months or 83 years.
THINGS YOU CAN DO DURING LAILATUL-QADR:
- I’tikaf in the Masjid
- Pray Tahajjud
- Recite the Quran
- Special Dua recommended by our Prophet
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ ، تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
"Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni"
(O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me.)
- Offer more duas / supplications
- Recite more Quran
- Repeat all these again and again like you may not get another Ramadan or Lailatul Qadr
Ibn Umar (RA) reported Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) as saying: "Seek it (Lailat-ul-Qadr) in the last (ten nights). If one among you shows slackness and weakness (in the earlier part of Ramadan), it should not be allowed to prevail upon him in the last week. [Sahih Muslim Book 13, Hadith 271]

This year Infaq.SG hopes to welcome Ramadan with the spirit of giving.
Organised by Ikhwan Services, Project Iftar Cambodia 2017 aims to sponsor iftar at four different villages daily for the entire month of Ramadan. There are about 100 - 150 people per location.

They aim to provide for 150 of such families in various locations in Singapore. These families have been identified by various social services and organisations.
The areas of service are in Tampines, Chai Chee, Eunos, MacPherson, Boon Lay and Marsiling.
Don't fret, if you are not able to contribute financially, you can also help by lending us your energy! This campaign requires many hands to help out. If you wish to volunteer for this project, please contact Bro Nizar @ 9656 7280.

About The Ramadan Mutton Project:
In collaboration with various mosques in Singapore, we are helping and supporting them to reduce the costs on iftar and bubur Ramadan.

Alhamdulillah we managed to raise 3998kg of mutton and distributed to 5 mosques last year. So far for this year's Ramadan Mutton Project, we have managed to raise
2389kg of meat. InshaAllah we hope that this year, more mosques can benefit from this effort.

Hajj Badal ( 5th year in service )
Hajj Badal is the term use for performing Hajj on behalf of others. To do so one must meet the requirements for Hajj Badal.
1) This person must have passed away or is very sick (have no hope for surviving).
2) If best it must come from the wealth of the deceased that was left behind.
3) The family must have the financial means to do so after paying all the debts of the deceased.
4) The cost of Hajj Badal cannot be more than 1/3 the cost of an actual person going for Hajj.
5) The performer that performs this on behalf of the deceased must have gone for Hajj before.
